Unfortunately the 681 isn't available at discounted prices anymore. Was just about to buy and then noticed the price had suddenly changed!

I got my RX-V681 the other day. I haven't had a chance to install it in yet, I have to buy/make a new tv unit for it to live in and I'm waiting for flat speaker cables for the rear surrounds. I also have to do something about the EU plug, my travel adapter is really loose.

But OMFG, amazon didn't box it or use any packaging at all! They just mailed it in the box it comes in! There is a hole on the top of the box but the receiver 'looks' okay. I'm going to test it over the weekend to make sure everything works. I know I paid half the price and I should be happy, but things like this put a damper on the experience.

Hope everyone else's receiver made it okay?

  Got mine yesterday but the amps box was within another box. Both still had holes through them in the side but amp is fine and set it up last night and seems to work fine but can't get the apps linked >.<

Ordered a VX-681 but still haven't received it. How have others gone with Amazon.fr - customer services have been responsive and friendly enough up to now, but just tell me to wait.

    Yup, shipped the day after order (day this was originally posted). Just says 'in transit' and the tracking code has never worked. Customer Services have now asked me to wait until 23rd then will take it further if needed.

      mine didnt ship till a week later and i got mine within 3-4days of it shipping on the cheaper option.

Just in case anyone is interested, or experiencing the same - still not here but Amazon have sent another shipment today, no cost, so fingers crossed that arrives. All in all throughout this, considering the language barrier, amazon.fr have been great at communicating and crazy fast at following up
