    • My $25 voucher code doesnt work.
      RIP

      • Really? Could you PM the code so I can test it? I might not use it ;)

        I though mine didn't either, but it's not a coupon code, it's a credit code which is on a different screen in the cart!

        • Holy.. Thats crazy, I didn't realize it was added at the payment section… THANK YOU!

          @Voltz: Your welcome! :)

        • @Trantor:

      Or buy @ Good Guys for $55 (or $30 after $25 coupon), claim 30-day price guarantee and get $8.40 back as store credit

      • that works better :)

        • Is it possible to go to shop and ask them to price match then use the $25 coupon?

        • @tron07: yes exactly what i did with my first coupon

      • Do they do 120% difference on the advertised price or if it is cheaper after using $25 then they would not honour as it will be $30?

        • How you pay has no effect, it should be 120% of the difference

        • i lodged a claim this arvo (bought @ $58 with 2x$25 codes). will let you guys know of the outcome.

          @CVonC:

          I lodged a 120% claim on Friday for something else, but bought with 2x vouchers. Should have an update before you so I'll let you know :)

        • @Spackbace:

          what did you get mate?

          good thing the invoice doesn't show the 2x$25 vouchers being used lol

          @CVonC:

          A waffle maker lol

          Mrs wanted one, figured it will be 1 of those things that will be in a cupboard within a year lol

          $60 @ GGs, $50 @ Myer :)

        • @Spackbace:

          Have you gotten anything yet SB?

        • @CVonC:

          Nothing, which is annoying :/ Sent them an online enquiry only an hour ago or so actually, coz of the delay. Still nothing

        • @Spackbace:

          Yeah nothing here either.

          havok44 got a reply and seemed to have submitted after us :S

        • @Spackbace:

          still nothing hey?

          I just sent a message to them asking about it :/

          @CVonC:

          Still nothing! It's ridiculous!

        • @Spackbace:

          Ugh! You thought about resubmitting a price guarantee claim or has the price changed now?

        • +1

          @CVonC:

          Price has changed now so can't. Sent off another message on their online system, but it annoyed me enough that I just put it up on their Facebook as well!

        • @Spackbace:

          Yeah same with my claim, but I screenshot it anyway. PM'd them on FB, let's see how this goes.

        • @Spackbace:

          Oh btw finally got price beat approved yesterday (Tues 25th) after I had to chase them up last Thursday and again on Saturday.

          All this trouble just for a minuscule store credit lol -_-

          I never got any email correspondence btw. This was all on FB.

          How did you go?

        • +1

          @CVonC:

          Yeah managed to get it in the end, via Facebook, then email reply to my website enquiry (who said they didn't get the initial email)

          Such a fk around over $12, but got there in the end!

    Rumour has it a new chromecast will be announced next week, with 4K support.

  • Just be aware a new Chromecast is rumoured to be released in the next week or so - though they take a while to become available through Aussie retailers anyway.

    • do you know if it would support 4k netflix

      i have a 4k pc monitor and cannot watch netflix 4k ffs…

  • Yay for those who bought the Chromecast 2 at TGG for $49 with their$25 store credit now get $1.2 in store credit.

    • I thought the minimum purchase for the $25 credit was $50

      • It's supposed to be.. but they didn't enforce it

        Stack 2x $25 codes too ^^

  • just to confirm is this possible, I want to use the chromecast to be able to mirror my screen on my phone/laptop to my tv so i can watch movies i have and also watch streaming channels such as nbl tv, afl tv, or nba tv on the big screen. I'm not fussed if i have to have the laptop or phone on the entire time while it mirrors to the tv. Something like this is possible and wouldn't be hard to set up correct?
    What worries me, is i did google for example chromecast two and nba tv and apparently there can be streaming/buffering issues - but i'm assuming that's got to do more with how strong your wifi is to be able to buffer to the google chomecast.

    Thanks in advance

    • Yes it is possible if your phone/device supports it

      I dont think Foxtel Go will work with it but browser streaming is possible from Chrome Win7/10 to Chromecaston your TV

      • ahhh i forgot to mention i have a macbook air, would that make a difference?

        • I have no idea about the mac support with chrome cast as I dont own a mac

          But i can confirm I have streamed BeIn Sports via there website, via chrome on my win10 and to my tv with chromecast

        • You just need chrome and the cast extension. No difference to any other OS.

  • Similar question to eltito (kind of)……I find it a pain to use the ABC iview and SBS on demand apps on our Samsung 'smart' tele, but simple to use on my iPad. Would a chromecast make it possible to mirror iPad to tele, and is this likely to be simpler than using the built in tele apps? (Love the tv otherwise)

    • Yeh ipad or use the abc, sbs, YouTube app on your phone and "cast" it to your chromecast. Not mirror but similar

      • Excellent, thanks Turk182, I'll nab one then. (Sorry about terminology, didn't realise mirror and cast were different! Derrrr!)

  • I really cannot find a use for my Chrome casts - I have a first and second gen. I occasionally stream from my phone to the TV and even less often from my PC.

    I recently purchased a $40 Android TV box with Kodi installed and use it all the time.

    • mind sharing which Kodi box you ended up getting?

      • Just messaged you

        • Could you share that info with me to please?

  • Has anyone tried price match with TGG and then used $25 voucher yet and did it work on a $48 purchase?

    Or has tried @Spackbace trick;) ?

    • Yes … $23
