    formatted my phone and lost the first code.

    Second code cant find anything worth buying.

    Chromecast is pointless, bought the first version nothing it does thats worth doing. i.e. TV and KODI box already do everything I need.

      Kodi doesn't do streaming services (Netflix, presto, Stan), or screen casting (mirroring) from android devices (useful for showing pics or videos from mobile to family members), and the casting via airplay from Apple devices is a bit hit-and-miss.

      Your TV may cover most of those gaps - in particular, it may have inbuilt apps for streaming (most likely to have Netflix, least likely to have Presto). If it does what you need, then don't buy this product.

      Personally, we have Kodi but not a smart TV, and I was a bit dubious whether we would get value out of our chromecast 1, but we now use it every day, so I have certainly got my ~$20 out of it.

    I got 2 at the good guys yesterday for $48 each. Saw on a current affair last night that catch of the day are selling them for $29 as part of there 10 year celebrations. There offering a product each hour so I guess one is expected to watch out for the chromecast to have its turn. May help someone else out who has the time to monitor the site today.
