  • Can anyone using Boost recommend if it's worth changing over from Telstra PrePaid? I'm sick to death of the new PrePaid plans.

  • are there expiry on Boost prepaid sims?

  • Can the credit from these be loaded onto an existing sim?

  • -2

$20 shipping brings cost to $40 for the first month. So what will be deal as you get this sim in $1 or 2 from every shop.

    Boost is equal to Telstra

  • Have been with boost nearly 2 years on this plan. Travelled all around Australia with it as well. Can't recommend them enough. I have auto charge setup so it takes out my monthly bill automatically :)

  • Can these be stacked or is it just for your first month?

No need to wait for delivery.

Coles is doing the same deal on the Boost $40 SIM starter for $20 in store and online.

    http://shop.coles.com.au/online/national/boost-prepaid-%2440…

So you could head straight to a Coles supermarket and buy this today for $20.

Promo limit is 12 per customer.

The Coles deal is also listed on page 36 of the current Coles catalogue.

    • Thank you, the additional benefit of buying it at Coles is that you can check the expiry date prior to purchase. Last time I asked via online chat the Boost rep couldn't give me a decent answer about the expiry of their stock except that it should be good for me to use in Dec/Jan.

      • The expiry on a Boost $40 SIM that i got from Coles today was dated on 5th October 2017. Had heaps of time to activate.

  • What is the expiry date for this? Suppose, if I buy 12 and used it every month up to 12 months with different number, will it work? Please update me if anybody knows about it. Thanks, Buddy

  • Damn it.. just bought one for $40 last Friday.

  • Was prefect timing as my month on Optus was due to end today.

Boost Mobile is great. I just picked up a $40 Starter from Coles for $20. And i'm now getting 4 out of 5 bars in signal reception. On Optus i was lucky to get 2 out of 5 bars and the signal strength would be erratic. Boost Mobile is basically rebranded Telstra mobile. Can't go wrong there.

Obsolutely crap customer service…..thats the reason starter packs are are always on the half price most of the time. They make you buy the starter pack and port your service from different service provider and it takes 24 to 48 hrs to get your service running. I recon vodafone is the best in oz expect few regional areas other than that they are best.

    • Under your assumption then Optus would have crap customer service too since their starter packs are recently always on half price or more. Actually recently their $30 Starter is going for $10 for weeks from various retailers.

24-48 hours to port, pfft year right. I ported my service from Optus to Boost yesterday around mid day and it was actually up and running after about half an hour after the activation request. It doesn't take long during business hours. Of course it's going to take quite a while if you request the porting out of business hours, for example a weekend.

      • From a different carrier network is quite fast to port, ie Optus to Telstra. From within same carrier, ie Optus to amaysim etc, can be quite lengthy….
Just a tip when planning to port out.

  • This may be a dumb question, but what happens at the end of the 28 days? Can I still receive calls until I recharge? Do I have 12 months to recharge? I have a 2 sim phone and I'm looking at boost for my second slot- I need a sim on Telstra network as I'm in WA and optus (my number one sim) is hopeless in regional WA.

You can no longer make calls, send text message or use the internet until you recharge. You can still receive calls and texts.

  • Can I buy one of these and port my number over from Amaysim?
