Got one of these a little while ago, last week I rode over a bump and it dropped down a little bit. Since then the noises my bike makes sound a lot deeper and there are hairs growing where there were none before. What gives?

Sick of this being flogged, turns up on my FB feed daily. Was designed as a joke thing, like the ones for cars/trucks and the folks from our favourite international purveyors of all things ripped off try to sell it as an upside down heart. Crazy, who would be that stupid, just call it 'BikeBalls' and be done with it.

I read about it on a cycling website a while back. Seems some US entrepreneur had the bright idea to make these a few years back. He sent his production off to china for manufacture. The original ones were called 'Bikeballs' or something like that and ran out ages ago BUT our enterprising friends across the sea got the design and kept making them. Obviously they've realised what we can all plainly see that these are a fairly polarising type of product so their in-house marketing geniuses have decided to cross-sell these as 'heart shaped' safety devices. Would love to have been a fly on the wall in that marketing meeting.
