LG v20 coming to Aus in November :)

Why would you include this comment here? V20 will most probably cost over $1000 when it arrives on our shore.

Any particular reason you guys are selling the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB for $200 more than RRP at Apple?? Seems unusual…. considering this isn't an eBay deal

Edit: Even the 256GB Model is $200 more than Apple RRP

    • Apple iPhone 7 Plus $1,769

      Wow.

      Hi,

At this stage Stocks from apple are not stable, and many variants our cost is more than apple's RRP
Check back in about 2 - 3 weeks and we should be under the RRP's

      thanks

      • +2

What sort of a bullshit is this? Due to this and that our prices are over RRP. Pfftt…

        • +2

It is just taking advantage of the situation, when stocks level are low, price will be high, some people just wants it know and willing to pay more and seller is taking advantage of them. It is free market. I suspect if buy from Apple may have to wait a bit longer to get the greatest Iphone every made, else who will buy from them at higher than RRP.

So I will charge $200 more just because I can?? Your phone is currently on sale for pre-order, which I expect is 2-3 weeks ETA according to your comment. Apple will ship the same phone out in 3-4 weeks if ordered today. Not the best way to make an impression for the community by price jacking something already price jacked by Apple!

      • That's low… act.

      • +4

This is OzBargain. You're only allowed to charge whatever OzBargain deems an acceptable price.

      • Check back later? Why the hell would I if I can buy cheaper from Apple today? You people are deranged.

  • ready to pull the trigger but needing feedback from my fellow OZB community

    • It doesn't have NFC, which is a big let down

    • Depends what you want it for and your circumstance. Some people seem to need everything that your tablet or laptop does and some are happy with a phone that works and surfing the net, sending emails etc which most phones do.

I have the 16gb/2gb version and couldn't be happier, cant say I would need the 3gb version as its fast enough for what I use it for (I don't play games on it). It switches, opens and runs apps quick and that's all I need.

My needs were for a phone that has one sim in 4G and the other in 3G which this does. I now have awesome coverage for both my personal and business sim. If there is anything specific or concerns you have let me know and ill let ya know :)

      • I have the same experience as you (G4 (non-plus) 2GB/16GB). Apps are snappy and quick. No complaints.

      • Too bad it's not getting OTA Android 7 update though :(

And here I thought buying a phone with vanilla Android guarantees me getting updates.

        • Not sure how bad this is in the scheme of things, I have no issues with the current version of Android. Sure its good to have the newest thing around but for me, if it aint broke then meh….

ummm you might want to read the link again.

        • @alz: Maybe they didn't realise that this product (named Moto G4 Plus) is on the list as "Moto G Plus (4th Gen)".

        • @worthy1:

I agree with you, in the grand scheme of things the version I have is great.

Just want to be part of the crowd without buying a G4 :( :D

        • -1

          @alz:

          Yes, G4 will have N7.

I was talking about my now old Moto G3 2015 .

        • @fr33loader: G3 has Marshmallow, so you can use SD memory as internal memory. That's all you need. Wife has one and its brilliant.

    • I'm pretty sure using C10AUZ code via eBay you will find cheaper?

    • +1

      Hey Mate

I got the exact model and quite happy with it. No NFC but that's no issue if you pay with cards. The phone is better than I anticipated. Its a close Vanilla Marshmallow Android OS and there are some nifty Moto add-ons. I quite like gestures to open the camera and torch from sleep.

Battery is so-so but it has quick charge so that's handy.

Construction is nice for a plastic phone. the finger print sensor is good too. If you login to your bank apps you can use finger scanner to sign in after you config it.

Camera is good, it uses the google photos and camera app.

      Overall, its value for money

    This or 6p?

    • exactly what i was thinking, willing to go this just to sort me out

    • +1

6P any day! :) However two very different phones so not sure about the comparison..?

    • 6P man without a doubt.

    • All 6p deals seems 500+.
What's the best deal for 6p?

      • +1

Maybe through mobileciti using %10 eBay code.

Depends if you want to buy local or grey? The 32Gb one was $457.60 plus 1.25% cashback via Cashrewards recently.

        • neither works atm. :(
          I prefer grey.

        • +1

@hobbsthetiger: It will be easier to find sales on grey, usually on Kogan/Dick Smith or DWI during the eBay promotions. They are usually around the $500 mark on sale however I have just noticed that Dick Smith eBay have had them on sale for less than $460. So keep an eye out for those cause there is a good chance there will be similar prices.

  • wat about SONY xperia M5 compare with this MOTO G4+? any suggestion?

    • +1

Dont buy Xperia M5. Bought M5 Gold in April and sent the phone 5 times for warranty since then. Sony Australia phone warranty service is not the best. They still think they can fix the phone and not intending to give me a replacement handset. Issues that i faced were random restarts, heatup issues etc.

      • wats the issues of your phone?

        • i bought 2 M5 from previous Sony Australia deals. one in black and one in gold. Both worked fine for few months then they started playing up. one phone reboots for no reason. and the other phone had heatup and hang issues. sent both phones under warranty but came back without any repairs because the Fonebiz technicians could not find any faults. Fonebiz do the repair/warranty jobs for Sony Mobile. Then i made a video and recorded the issues and uploaded the video on youtube for technician reference. Sent the phone back again. This time Fonebiz replaced the motherboards. The replacement motherboard was faulty in gold phone with broken front camera. i had to send the phone again. They replaced the board again and when i received the phone i was shocked to see that the back housing was not sealed properly and was coming off from one of the corners. Big concern as this phone suppose to be water resistant. Anyways i sold both phones on gumtree and had a very bad experience. Will never buy from them again.

        • @mady123: poor man, did u buy them from sony kiosk at 299?

fonebiz seems pretty shit on.their services?

did u send the video to sony? they may replace u with the lastest model i guess

i googled the user experience.for.M5, there was a recall in.hk and taiwan for the issues of rebooting

so maybe yours were one of them

  • OP as a dual sim phone, can you confirm if the 2 sims can both operate at the same time, SIM1 on 4g and SIM2 on 3G?

    • depends what your interpretation of operate at the same time is? It is Dual Active so both are active all the time but if your taking a call on one sim and the other rings then it will show as busy/go to voicemail.

Only one SIM is used as the data sim e.g whichever you have set to data is the one that will rack up the data bill, it is also the one that will be 4G. You can switch this when you want though

      • That's right, One sim can used for data only. You have to switch to the other sim if you want to use data from that one.

        • But its 4G/3G? Not 4G/2G like most dual sims. Correct?

        • +1

          @Coley:
          Correct.

        • Got an Optus data share Sim for my son ….so he uses the 10 gb from my plan and a cheap Sim for voice
