    Nope, you lost me.

      They give you a zip archive file, which you then open, which contains a text document. That text document contains direct download web links for each of these software. Are you understanding now?.

        I'm aware of how it works… I've filed it under 'too hard basket'. Hence they lost me having such a complex procedure.

        • +2

          Doesn't seem very complex to me. How complex is it to extract a text document from a zip and then open it?.

          @hollykryten:

          As oppose to direct links on a site?

          @Spackbace:

          It's probably to stop auto web bots spamming the software download links.

          @hollykryten:

          It's not hard to use captcha (or however that's spelt lol) to get a link

          @Spackbace:

          I hate captchas. :P

          Half the time you can't even read the text.

        • @hollykryten:

          I don't get text ones any more, they all want me to pick out the store fronts :P

          Or the road signs, grass etc.

      • In other words, do everything your security adviser told you not to do.

      I thought you were tech savvy?

        Nope, he's spack bace…

    After activating, can I then un-install it and re-install it later when I actually need these or would they then need to be re-activated then and it won't work after 6 November?

    I'd like some of these utilities, but I loathe to put stuff on my notebook with limited SSD space that will just sit there just because they must remain activated.

    It's a trend that's really starting to bother me.

  • Missed it….
