Shanling M1 Mini DAP with Free Leather Case (Shipping End of November - US $94.83, ~AU $124) @ AliExpress

50

Long time lurker, first time deal poster :)

From what I can tell, this seems to be a genuinely good price for this well regarded portable DAP, that looks to be a very good alternative to an iPod Nano. Normally retails for around US$140 without the leather case (around US$10 separately), and this included free

Everything you want to know about the DAP can be found on Head-Fi.

A review within the head-fi thread.

According to the head-fi forum, these will not ship until end of November, although I didn't see anything on the store to indicate that. Attach the US$5.00 coupon in the seller's store to get the discounted price of US$94.83. AK Audio is a well regarded Ali seller on head-fi.

  • Been looking at upgrading my Fiio X1 (Gen 1) to one of these or the new Gen 2 X1.

Both will ahve Bluetooth but the Shanling has AptX.

Only problem is that I've only had the X1 for 3 months….

  • Hello. I have traditionally bought nanos. I am looking for something which will hold more music but still allow me to run with it (small device required).

Can you share any further knowledge from your experience with it?

I also can't seem to find how many gb it will hold without an external memory card.

    • +1

I personally do not own one, yet. However I did place an order at the time of posting the deal.

You may want to check this fairly detailed Youtube review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYhKAXkBRfs

As for storage, players like this have no built-in storage so an external microSD card is required.

      • Thanks mate. Will have a look.

  • Bought the M1 a month back. Works great with 24bit Flac and SACD files on the Bluedio R+ that has APTx bluetooth as well. Easy navigation.

Deep bass with Bluedio from flac of Atlantic City pipe organ of the blowers starting up. Solid sound & bass extension on Dead Can Dance DSDs. Lou Reed's 'Perfect Day' DSD brilliant.
