Telstra Large Broadband Bundle - $120 Per Month. 1TB Data, Free Aus Calls except 13, OS Calls to Various Countries + Foxtel

620

Telstra are targeting the ethnic market with a special bundle.

It's their $120 large bundle (https://www.telstra.com.au/broadband/nbn/nbn-bundles#) but with Foxtel Entertainment pack ($26 per month usually) and International Ultimate ($15 per month) thrown in on top for free.

The bundle is targeted at people with overseas relatives and is in theory sold only in the stores listed in the linked pages - but the guys on the phone can do it too - call 1800 834 273.

You can argue whether the large bundle that includes 1000gb of data and all local/national/mobile calls, Telstra TV and unlimted Telstra Air until 31/3/17 is good value for $120 per month, but throwing in another $41 on top certainly makes it a lot more attractive - particularly if you do make calls to countries included as free calls in the International Ultimate pack…

Included calls:
- Local calls to standard fixed lines
- National Calls to standard fixed lines
- Calls to standard Australian mobiles

International Ultimate Calling Pack
- Unlimited calls to home phones in 35 countries
- Unlimited calls to mobile phones in 17 countries
- Discounted call rates to another 37 countries

Unlimited Telstra Air® until till 31st March 2017

Foxtel Entertainment Package included for 24 months
– over 45 channels including drama, lifestyle, docos, kids, news and more. Offer for new Foxtel from Telstra customers.
$0 Standard Installation (normally $100)
$0 iQ2 (normally $75)

$80 would be reasonable for what they are offering but its telstra so… there should be a further discount

    • ?

    • I've found Telstra to be really good. Their broadband infrastructure is generally solid and any problems I've had I've sorted on Live Chat with minimal fuss. Their phone support is not the best but no need to use it when live Chat is the better option if you have internet on your PC or mobile phone.

      • Considering most undersea cables are Telstra owned, you will never experience issues like some other companies experience during cuts to a single cable

  • Is this only on NBN bundles? My address doesn't have NBN available yet..

    • In theory it is NBN only, but try calling 1800 834 273 - they should be able to do it via ADSL or cable too…

  • I just called up about this bundle and they said it ended late October but they just haven't taken it down from the website yet :/

Might call up again later to see what different people say

  • Too much. Foxtel full of ads within ads.

Nice to see the self-righteous PC squad patrolling the interwebz on a Sunday just looking out for innocuous stuff to try and get unnecessarily indignant about…enjoy a slow clap from me, ladies… :/

    • Nice to see the self-righteous pointless comment squad patrolling the interwebz on a Sunday just looking out for innocuous stuff to try and get unnecessarily bombastic about…enjoy a slow clap from me, ladies… :/

Yeah, I'll just go ahead and neg my own comment now. :)

  • Just spoke to Telstra to convert my current ADSL2+ however as this is an NBN plan which is not available at my address yet, can't move. :-(

  • How much with the Foxtel movie channels thrown in?

  • not very attractive. My current Telstra cable Foxtel bundle is $135 a month for 24 months and it was a 20 month ago offer.
500g with free top up twice a year. No need for 1t for most people.
Speed boost is free normally costing u $20 a month. Very useful
Foxtel basic with sports combo plus HD. Sports is the most expensive Foxtel combo.

My Optus mobile plan is enough for international call and I signed it for EPL.

It's good for anyone who is interested in Foxtel. Because only through Telstra installation fee can be waived.

  • There is a similar deal from Optus.

    $140 per mth
    100/40 speed
    unlimited data
    fetch TV

New customers also have $240 credit

Not sure how their back end is compared to Telstra though. Also, the Myrepublic plans seem better but considering they're relatively new, I don't have a clue on the back end either.

  • Check with whirlpool forums. Most people get even better deal when they visited in a local Telstra store.
Some got with free speedboost for free.

  • Seems they are advertising this for $99 on channel 10

something very similar atleast, comes with 1000GB and Foxtel

    • +1

The $99 plan has free line rental but no included calls.

(profanity) Telstra. They are a (profanity) douche of a company. They have been like that since the TelstraClear days. Overpriced shit for no better in quality. They are even worse than Telecom.
