Bonus $100 Gift Card (Coles/Woolworths/JB/ Kmart/Myer/DJs etc) with New ANZ Access Advantage Accounts after Making 3 Purchases*

Spotted this deal on a Facebook ad - basically open up an Access Advantage transaction account with ANZ and make three Visa debit purchases (in stores, online or over the phone, excludes reversals and ATM withdrawals) on the card that is linked to your ANZ Access Advantage account before 8 January 2017.

You'll then get a code to redeem a $100 Myer, Woolworths, JB Hi-Fi, David Jones, Woolworths Caltex, Coles, Flight Centre, Spa.com.au or Kmart gift card.

The account attracts a $5 monthly fee, but is waived if you deposit at least $2,000 per month into the account or meet other criteria (see below).

This offer is only available to new or existing ANZ customers, who do not have an ANZ Access Advantage account as at 13 November 2016.


*No monthly account service fee on your new account if you deposit at least $2,000 a month. Otherwise, it's a $5 fee per month.

You can also apply to waive the monthly account service fee on one nominated ANZ Access Advantage account if you:

  • Are under 25 or aged 60 or over
  • Are a full-time student at an Australian educational institution
  • Receive a disability support pension or mobility allowance from Centrelink
  • Have an ANZ Home Loan, an ANZ Residential Investment Loan or an ANZ Portfolio Facility and have your salary paid into your account
  • Have a combined deposit balance of $50,000 in one or more of the following ANZ accounts: ANZ Access Advantage, Access Select, Premium Cash Management, Online Saver, Progress Saver, ANZ term deposits, V2 Plus, Passbook Savings, Premier Cheque.

Offer Terms:

  • The offer is limited to one unique Reward Code per customer that can be redeemed for a Digital Reward valued at $100. Joint accounts count as one customer and are only eligible for a single unique Reward Code; and

  • Subject to meeting the eligibility criteria, an unique Reward Code will be emailed to an email address registered to the new ANZ Access Advantage account by 8 February 2017; and

  • ANZ can withdraw this offer at any time between 14 November and 18 December 2016.

      • Called them 3 times. They were pretty inconsistent on what they say, first one said that the request didn't push through and she needed to manually resend it. Second one, said that it will come in 24 hours, supposed to be today. Called again today and I was told that it is on a queue,and would not be sent till Monday.
        I thought of keeping my account with ANZ but after these delays, I think I will just close. I might stick with the Macquarie one, at least they were on time in giving their rewards.

          Yes, thats the number.
          They finally sent my gift card today. Had to call them again this morning. They said it will take another business day as the gift card needs to be queued and sorted (something to that effect). Told them, it makes no sense as I have redeemed more than 48 hours ago.

  • Got my code today! Does anyone know if the gift card/voucher that we redeem allows you to use it on multiple occasions or does the $100 need to be used in one transaction? For e.g. I'd choose a petrol gift card if it can be used on lots of different transactions.

    • pretty sure you can use it multiple times till it reaches zero balance. you can even use the last bit left by telling the casher to charge you x amount on gift card and then the rest on your credit card.

      btw, how long did it take for you to get the gift card? i put in my code like nearly 3 hours ago now and nothing (waiting for a woolies wish giftcard).

      • Sorry not sure, as I'm still trying to decide which gift card/voucher to choose from. So is it a digital gift card as opposed to a voucher code essentially?

          @Scrooge McDuck: yup. Or you can use the egift card to buy a new physical gift card in store (I think it works for woolies, not sure about coles and etc).

          For woolies wise gift card, the code you need to enter is not that long…I actually like woolies egift card as I can save them on the iPhone Woolworth money app. I can check how much I have left and reveal the code on my phone when I need to use the money, so I don't have to fiddle with my wallets. each to their own I guess.

      Then it gave you a link to the redemption website and a code to use to claim your digital gift card.

  • Now when i call ANZ come to know that account got open but i never received any communication from them nor did they send debit card for it and now say i cant meet the conditions to get the gift voucher. They wasted my time and credit check. So frustrated with it any idea what can be done on it ?

      • I closed my account because of the monthly fee (and the hassle of transferring money to avoid paying that fee). If you don't pay a fee, might as well keep it, but if you do, then close it as soon as you have your gift card. And the gift card still works, closed my account a month ago, but only just around to using the last of the gift card a few days ago. Once you have it, the gift card is yours.

    • I haven't received mine. I opened the account using the promotional link on November 17th, made my first 5 purchases using the Visa Debit card from November 25-28, so I thought i'd be among the first to get the code. Nope.

      I called their 1300 834 066 number this morning, they promised to chase it up and call me back by 3pm. Of course there was no call back, so I called them back. I don't exist on their "spreadsheet" apparently. The guy that was looking into it won't be back til tomorrow, so maybe i'll hear something tomorrow, but not holding my breath.

      Of all the banks that have had promotions, ANZ would have to be the most disorganised.

  • I haven't received the email. I contacted ANZ today and was told that the eligible purchases were required to be made from a Visa debit card on the account. The card type that I was issued when I opened the Access Advantage account is an Access (eftpos) card not a Visa debit card. So I am not eligible to receive the gift card. WTH!!

    • Am really pissed off about this! I applied through the link of this promotional offer on their website, followed every single steps, made 4 (instead of 3) purchases using my "Access card" but at the end didn't receive what I was promised. I applied through the link of their offer to get this bonus, why would they send me an Access Eftpos card that is not eligible for the offer instead of a Visa debit card?

      • did you use paypass or debit with pin? i always thought part of the promo was that you had to use paypass, i made 2 purchases within the dates and my last purchase just after the promo date expired as begining of the year was a mess for me and still got my gift voucher a few weeks back. closed my account last week still as only opened it for the promo.

        • Yes I used paypass with the Access card to make the purchase. Was your card an Access eftpos card or a Visa debit card?

        • @sydozbargain0000: If you were able to use paywave then you definitely used a Visa debit card because eftpos cards don't have RFID and have to be inserted into the reader. I think you should call them back and ask to escalate it.

          EDIT: If you pressed CHQ or SAV at the terminal, the transaction would be through eftpos but paywave is automatically through CR (Visa debit on this card) so you should be eligible.

          would you mean I am not eligible if I used SAV at the checkout coz I my saving account is linked to my Credit card account, I never receive the Card of my Saving account so If I want to use the saving account, I got to choose SAV, otherwise it will automatically choose my Credit card account if I use paypass. Therefore, I still haven't got my $100 Gift card code. :(

          I assume this means that qualifying purchases had to be made through the Visa scheme (CR) and not the eftpos network (CHQ/SAV). I didn't make any transactions through eftpos but all of my Visa transactions start with

          VISA DEBIT PURCHASE CARD [LAST 4 DIGITS]

          if I look at the history on internet banking.

        • @angelbaby: I used the card only 3 times, and selected EFTPOS savings each time for this competition and still received the $100 gift card fine. I never used PayWave.

    wife got her voucher a couple of weeks ago, sent a bankmail asking about my account. apparently I didn't use the link… yeah whatever, close account :-(
