Considering it's already one of the cheapest 4K Bluray players available, I see no reason for them to discount it.

Think of how great of a blu ray player it'll be even if you don't play games
as a dvd/blu ray player not great to be honest many reports of sound out of sync with picture - myself included
but still a great dealWeird. I never had that issue. Is it a problem via HDMI only? Used it heaps for DVD/Bluray including 3D stuff no problem. But optical for sound.

I keep all my old games consoles, including the original xbox, which I think is appreciating in price now.
I can't fathom giving away a last gen console for next to nothing, especially when I am the original owner and have taken perfect care of it, like still in mint condition with the original box and accessories.
Exactly right FabMan - the new xbox consoles are only going to get cheaper. I'm not as impulsive or rushed to have the newest things like other people.
By the time you've finished the 360 games you could get an XBox One S at a bargain price.

i have been waiting for a ps4 deal for the last target deal. seems like its not coming up anytime soon. lots of xbox deals out there. maybe i should consider buying an xbox.

I'm looking at buying either an Xbox One, or One S, for my son's birthday (1 February) - any ideas/educated guesses as to when the best time would be? There are plenty of offers now, but I'd imagine there will be good deals after Christmas, as well (as for other retail areas) - any different with games consoles?
Uneducated guess…I can't see you doing better than this in the immediate future for a 1TB console with a couple of fairly recent games…too lazy to research, but my recollection is that the post Xmas/NY deals weren't as good as the pre-Xmas ones in the past couple of years.
With regard to the 'S', you have to decide whether 4k is useful to you now or sometime very soon, if the answer is no, IMHO save the $$$. ;)

CheersI am not the person to answer this, as I don't own an X-Box (well it hasn't arrived yet, I just ordered it now) let alone two of the same consoles. I only ever had one PS1, one PS2 and one PS3. But if you don't have both X-Box's on at the same time, you can use one X-Box login for both. But if you wanted both X-Box's on at the same time, you would have to get a new account, because they would probably blow up being both logged into the same account.
So yeah as long as you only have one X-Box on at a time, you should be able to use your original profile on both. I don't see why not.

As in, you've already got your Xbox One games installed on it? Should be fine switching between consoles, it won't need formatting.
Also, I don't expect a big issue being signed in to two consoles at once; after all, until you actually start any multiplayer then logging in is no different to signing into a Win10 PC / MS account online etc. So no biggie.

It was Out Of Stock whilst I was deliberating. I have always had Playstation's, but thought I might give X-Box a go. When I decided I would get it, I tried to buy it but I was too late. I just tried again and I was able to purchase it. I hope they honour it! :D I was still able to use the code too! YAY! So excited! It looks like a cool console, I really love the silver, blue and black of it. Looks robotic, also reminds me of a Winamp skin I had back in the day which was silver and that light blue.
I am not willing to upgrade to a 4K TV, so wasn't even thinking about an XBox One S, cause you need a 4K TV to plug it into, yeah?
One S has HDR and 4K support for video (netflix etc) and a 4K bluray player. It works fine on standard TV's and isn't much of a difference from this one.
Ah well. Yeah, I think XBox One will be fine for me. I don't need to have the latest. Actually this is the earliest I've got the latest model. When the PS2 was released, I got the PS1. Same when the PS3 was released, got the PS2 and yep when the PS4 was out I got the PS3. I'm always a console behind.
I read an article a while back about the benefits of being a little behind, as long as you don't mind not having the latest games and aren't too aware of what you are missing out on, you end up paying way less for both the tech and games plus still have an enjoyable experience.
@Gravy: I do, but I'm annoyed with some aspects of it. For example I like playing GTA 5 on PS3. But going online, there are no updates anymore plus the amount of people playing online is dropping each day :( But with my gaming systems I am a bit of a tightarse.
I'm excited to finally have the current model though and although I prob spent a bit more than I normally would (never paid more than $150 for a console), it might be finally worth it! :D
