$120 is a lot to buy for a single man.

    Ideas on what to buy?

      Kleenex Cottonelle Toilet Tissue White
24pk is on special for $11 so you could grab 12 packs, you will use it all eventually

      • +7

Kleenex has gone to crap now, like not using anything at all… Need 3 ply!

        • +12

I think all toilet paper goes to crap eventually, but I get what you're saying

        • +1

It does, though I have been using the Quilton 3 ply and it handles tasks well

      • +2

Next week they have 12 rolls Kleenex Cottonelle Toilet Tissue White $5 (slightly cheaper)

      • +4

man that stuff disintegrates in your hands when you try to use them… you'd go through that in no time.. LOL

    • Not sure if liquor is eligible for this deal. Otherwise, grabs 2 slabs of this.

      I am single too…
on occasion when I am trying to spend up to a certain amount I will buy dish washing liquid x 2 or 3 or 6, washing powder, cat food, toilet rolls, soap, toothpaste, tins of some foods…stuff that keeps for a long time…

    • Had this dilemma recently. I drink longlife milk since I live alone and a bottle lasts ages, so bought about a months supply of that. Spices and condiments. Bought a lot of long life tinned stuff like tomato to use in cooking. Bought a fair bit of meat to freeze, like mince, which you can combine with the tomato. Meat will easily chew up $40+. Frozen meals that I take to work.

    • Lots of nappies and baby formula.

    • Sugar! It has so many uses. I'm thinking of buying a ton myself

    • +1

Buy all the saffron. That stuff costs almost as much as gold.

    • Personal lubricant is on special.

  • So you can buy $120 Woolworths gift card and get 40 bux back?

    • You can't buy gift cards on Woolworths Online. It redirects to everydaygiftcards.com.au

      • Does this work with Woolworths Mobile products?

        • No only woolworthsonline.com.au (groceries)

        • I can't find any of other gift cards either (JB HIFI etc)…
Not sure what to buy for $120 lol

        • @arctan Junk food is commonly at half price or above ;)

        • @arctan:

          Maybe loads of olive oil?

  • Mmmm, so how do you determine if you`re a "first time Woolworths shopper"…

  • +1

How do Woolies count a new customer anyone know? Home address, email address, something else?

  • +1

    create a new woolies account

  • +2

New woolworths shoppers, but can you use your same cashrewards account? Or does cashrewards filter it on their side as well?

  • +4

Amazing deal, not sure if I want to be that guy though

    • +1

Lol I don't remember him being disabled (disableduser) that's great.

  • +1

Wow that guy is a few fries short of a happy meal!

  • Does this include gift cards like iTunes?

  • -1

I've done it 10+ times with no issues BUT cashrewards is another story as half my woolies purchases haven't tracked (I do it exactly the same way every time). I once contacted CR about it and after filling out the looooong form they never got back to me so these days I simply can't be bothered. If it tracks great if it doesn't don't hold your breath.

    • -5

So you're breaking rules and creating 10+ new accounts to take advantage of the new account offer? No wonder you're not getting any cashback.

      • +2

Yes I'm breaking the rules but I don't think not getting cashback has anything to do with it as I still get free delivery and all the other first time stuff so it's not like they are trying to stop me. Must be some technical crap.

        • If Woolworth's terms are not being followed then they're not going to pay Cashrewards… and then they can't pay you.

It's just like using coupons not listed on CR. Many sellers will reject the commission on the affiliate networks and the CR/customer gets no cashback.

        • +15

Hi gimme. I've just looked into your account (still have your email address from last time you contacted me) and you have 9x $20/$30 Woolworths pending & approved transactions for new accts. Not sure what the complaint is about, especially considering you're getting cashback more than once where you really shouldn't be?

        • +1

          @tightarse:

I just checked my account and you're right. MY APOLOGIES, I take it back. I did not receive any email notifications (which I stand by as being very inconsistent) so assumed it hadn't tracked. Looks like they eventually came through. Shouldn't rely on email going forward.

It's a win/win anyway….. I'm sure CR still gets paid for all transactions, first time customer or not. ;-))

On a serious note, I'm actually proud not to be a 'victim' of the supermarket duopoly. Buying genuine special items with a 20/30/40 cashback + 10% off (look on google and you shall find) + 5% (gift card) makes it a pretty decent buy. I'm sure Woolies is still making money out of me but it evens out the playing field a little. Thank you Ozb!!

        • +5

          @gimme:

A big plate of humble pie for dinner ?…..

        • @nocure:

Not really mate - If accepting your mistake instantly and apologizing equals to a big plate of humble pie in your books then I suspect you have a somewhat warped view of the world.

        • @tightarse: haha that's so great, Made my night.

    • +1

Be careful, don't turn that into 100 new accounts…

      • haha yeah I read that little gem. TBH I'm not too fussed if I get banned, I order once every 4-5 weeks or so and only when there are worthwhile specials. If they decide to block my address I will happily collect it from the store which happens to be within walking distance. The guys at the service desk are quite oblivious to dyslexic spelling(s) of my name lol.

  • +2

    12kg of chicken breast?

    • That's like 12.3 kilos of salmonella. I resist the urge to order perishables these days as my experience has been very mixed. I think it depends on how many detours the truck driver makes on the way. To their credit, when I've called and mentioned it I have received a full refund. (Stinky chicken breast and salmon fillets in my case)

      • True that, need to find something else.

      • woolworth the fresh food people!

  • @store rep : when will be able to see the $40 CB in "rewards balance"?

    • +1

Ha, during the last cashback I bought in. In Cashrewards it says 'Approval Date 11/01/2017'…. crazy

      • +1

It's unfortunate, but the payment date is set by the merchant, not CR. If they don't pay us, we can't pay you. You'll find that hopefully soon, these dates will be dropping significantly with a lot of our stores. As examples, Cellarmasters very recently dropped to 45 days approval, and Menulog dropped to 30 days approval :)

        • I have an Accor Hotels booking made in Oct 2015, stayed in April 2016, it is still pending until now when it says 90 days from booking completion…

        • Ok, so TA was quick to help resolve this. Many thanks for this.

        • Hi Tightarse,

Can you please advise if I can pay by E-Gift card on woolie online under cashrewards?

        • @nancy888: Hi nancy888. 100%. It's clearly stated on our website. Just ensure your final cart value after all discounts is $120 or more to avail of this offer. Here's the screenshot. :)

  • Is it applicable for BWS or just woolworths only?

  • +2

Quick question, I've got a woolies account but I haven't used it yet, does that qualify?

  • This isn't working for me…. I created an account and still not working…

    • what do you mean by not working? what are you expecting to see?

      • a -$40 on checkout?

        • +3

It's not WORKING because it's $40 cashback @ CASHREWARDS, not -$40 off the woolworths online order…

        • @grimace3:
Sorry can you please run me through the process. I've never ordered from Cash Rewards or woolies.

        • +1

          @tehoriginal:

          Goto cashrewards (CR)
          Create an account
          Search for woolworths in CR
click through to woolworths via the relevant CR link (ie 40$ cashback)
          Do your shopping
Check out with at least $120 of purchases
Log back into your CR account and check your credits… it may take a while for you to be able to actually cash it out (ie wait for approval)

        • @SmiTTy:

          Thank you

  • Hey TA :)

i was wondering when my $30 off 120 back in early july, it was estimated to be completed on the 5th of october and still nothing. I contacted support and they just told me to wait and it's been a month since then

    • Problem solved without any hiccups. Thanks TA!

  • Sweet as. Bought $160 worth of groceries for $112 delivered with egiftcard, cashrewards and code. Cheers TA!

  • Oh, plus the $5 off too so $107 and the $40 has now tracked on cashrewards! :D

    • +1

I've got my fingers crossed for you, but as per the OP, please be aware the final cart value has to be $120 or more after all discounts. Woolies may reject the cashback when they consolidate sales. This is another reason there is always a pending period with cashback as determined by the stores.

      • +2

All good mate, total cart value on the Woolworths site was $169 with delivery, amount paid was $155 with $5 off and free delivery code plus used an egiftcard to pay which I got for $8 off then when I get the cashback that's another $40 off so $160 worth of groceries will eventuate to costing $107 :)

        • +2

Nice work!!! I incorrectly assumed your final cart value was $107 :(

        • +2

Working that system haha love it.

    • how can you use $5 off? I tried to enter the $5 off code when I purchase $126, but it says the " $5 Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.".

      • I just clicked through from the CashRewards site then entered the code at the checkout, both promotions were listed on the CR site so there were no problems there. I did try and claim the bonus 2000 reward points too but couldn't use that in conjunction with the $5 off.

Maybe your cart was less that $120 without postage? Otherwise I'm not too sure why it's not working. I used Chrome browser on my phone if that helps.

  • do we have to buy a giftcard for this or can we simply go through the this link https://www.cashrewards.com.au/woolworths-com-au to benefit from this deal?

  • Will the $40 cashback be applied to the same cashrewards account (if we create two Woolworth account)?
    Thank you

    • yes it will

      • Thank you. I will get some extra gift cards.

        • +1

you can't buy giftcards from woolies online. That's everyday rewards which you're not going to receive Cashback for.

        • @gimme: Oh, thank you for clarifying that Gimme.

  • I bought a eGift card. Still waiting for the email (over an hour ago).
Also I noticed that the $5 coupon says "Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.", so I'm not sure it's safe to use it.

    • Both promotions are listed on the Cashrewards site and it tracked for me so you should be fine.

  • can this be used with this offer: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/277203

  • i used the coupon code and placed my order via the link on cashrewards.com.au. i hope cashrewards will track it.

  • Hi TA and others, can I use E-gift card to buy on Woolworth online? Yesterday, when I put my e-gift card number in, the Woolworth website said number is invalid. Then I change to normal Woolworth gift card, and it worked.

How do I pay by Woolworth E-gift card on Woolworth website?

    Thank you,

  • +1

Holy Crap I just got notification that 1 item will be refunded because it wasn't available. This may bring my total down just below $120… will this mean I don't qualify ???

    • Don't you hate that. I always add about $10-15 buffer just to be safe. It's happened to be a couple of times but TBH I don't remember whether CR paid out or not. I have a feeling I got paid anyway but can't be 100% sure.

  • has your order been tracked by CR yet?

    • I can't see it under my account so nope.

  • Really annoyed.

Bought cans in conjunction with the $40 Cashreward deal and a bunch of spring onions but only the spring onions were delivered.

Apparently the cans were out of stock.

Bullshit as I just came back from the store to buy eggs.

Is this gonna affect my Cashreward.

I hope I still get my cash back.

    • They don't always pick it from your nearest store. My default 'pick' location is 3 Woolies away.

    • +1

Like to know this as well, some of the item my mum brought is out of stock, paid via wishcard now refunded via store credit only. Is cashrewards still going pay out the $40 cashback ???

      • Would also like to know this. About to head out to pickup my groceries, but got notification that my chorizos are out of stock so now I'm under the $120 once they refund me :(

  • TA - I've got a problem from a previous CR WOW deal for $30. Ordered 7 July, approval date still says 5 October, but it hasn't been approved :(

    • email them. this has happened to me a few times and they've instantly paid it out. Not sure how it works in the background.

    • All sorted now! thanks TA

  • Used the chrome cashreward extension and activated it
Bought 120 dollars worth … but didnt see the transaction .
Should have done it the conventional way from cr site

  • +1

Okay so for those who also had an item refunded, causing the net total to go below $120, you will still receive the discount..

I contacted Woolworths via e-mail and have written confirmation that the cash back is triggered as long as the total sale is $120 or higher.

    • Yay thanks! I emailed Woolies as well to ask them, but they haven't gotten back to me as yet.

    • Just keep in mind its CR paying out any money, not woolies directly paying you.

      • Yes, I'm aware however Woolworths stipulate the terms by the looks of it.

Do you know how long it takes for CR to process the cashback typically?

        • Cashback varies….check the date on your dashboard.

If you are referring to 'tracking' then it's typically within the day, occasionally 2 days. My success rate after 2 days is very low.
