    No experience, but you can check some of their older deals at LowEndBox. The servers are in Los Angeles with QuadraNet so I think at least bandwidth-wise it's decent. However do read through the comments…

  The second or third VPS option is pretty good for those who want to DIY their own VPN.

  I cringe when I see people on ozbargain paying $5-$20 a month on a VPN… Yet those deals always seem to get 100+ upvotes…

  No experience with these guys however coincidentally have been researching a number of OpenVZ/KVM/Dedi hosting providers this past week. I can confirm the prices advertised for this Black Friday deal are extremely good value for money. I pulled the trigger on the VPS 3 deal with the extra IPv4 and 1Gb port addons coming to a total of $39.00/yr US (approx. $52.60 AUD at time of conversion). I look forward to commissioning a daemon or two over the weekend and putting it through its paces.

    I recently received an email again today with basically the same promo from black friday. In relation to the extra ipv4 would it not be just as economical to buy the package again, which in turn includes one ipv4 address?

  I have a VPS with alpharacks. would not recommend them. they killed applications running for no reason and the vps has terrible terrible performance. terrible IO performance, terrible network performance. Usually providers who are at the quadranet LA DC have decent network latency with Australia (east coast) but this provider is the exception.

    Thanks for the feedback. Considering I never recall seeing this provider in my searches, I knew I'd be taking a risk but took the gamble anyway.

    I haven't had any problems yet, very happy with everything. OpenVPN works excellent too, haven't had issues with uptime. I've had an irc client connect up since day one without disconnect. Happy days!
