One thing I think is really important is a 4K TV's upscaling ability as that's what you'll be mostly watching, and I've yet to see better upscaling than Sony's.

How does this compare to the pioneer Kuro?

    • Kuro forever!

(Sadly, I do think most good ($2000+) 4K TV's outclass the legendary Kuro though)

  • Can we do multiple payment.. thinking to use Amex frenzy..

    • I've asked about doing split payments online and i was told no

  • So close to pulling the trigger on the KD65X7500D. Any final feedback from people?

I actually would prefer the KD65X8500D due to the viewing angle. But it is not on special. Would this TV drop by Feb 2017 ?

  • Please help me decide……which 65" TV.

The Samsung with $65 delivery charge $1661 or the Sony delivered for $1999

Ready to pull the trill trigger on a 65"

    • Samsung

    • The Samsung is only an 8 bit panel, the Sony is 10.

      Sony also has better upscaling.

It's up to you if you think that's worth the extra.

  • Does the deal expire tonight or in 11 more days?

  • The X700D/7500D has atrocious contrast of less then 1000:1, peak brightness less than half of the minimum required for UHD Premium certification (ie, crap HDR capabilities) and poor black uniformity.

It's cheap, but you can certainly do better.

  • Chances of PS4 Pro going up on one of these 12 day deals?

    • I'd be keen. More likely a rehash of recent deals like the PS4 slim for $299

    • Probably not. It's a new product and shouldn't have difficulty selling.

The things I'd expect to see in these 12 days are things that would not normally fly off shelves, such as those weird earphones from yesterday. And of course people don't buy 4k TVs every day.

You might see some Walkman players, USB sticks and memory cards.

  • Looks like Sony lists stuff on its site highly overpriced. Check its sale link here, and have a look at what it listed for the cameras: http://store.sony.com.au/sale, and here is an example for the RX100 III: http://store.sony.com.au/DSCRX100M3.html#start=1

Are you kidding me? RX100 III for $1,199? Other Australian sellers have them between $750-$800, so how is this a regular price? Looks like tomorrow they will probably release the cameras as the Day 3 Christmas sale, and you will be paying $600, supposedly as half price (or whatever percentage of discount they decide to sell them for), whereas the regular price is under $800 in many places. The also listed the A6000 for $899, BODY ONLY: http://store.sony.com.au/ILCE6000B.html#start=1 Bloody rip-off!

Any manufacturer is going to list RRP on their own site even if no one else sells it at RRP.

      • Well, that just defeats the whole purpose of giving people 50% discount then. Of course there is still a discount, but the percentage won't be as near as they make it seem.

        • That is true. But the other retailers who have it cheaper are not going to do 50% off, so it works out the same.

  • The 65" was $1999 through Sony store on 25/11.

It's a 13 days of Xmas sale in Dec and Nov

  • Hoping to see some good deals in the next 9 days.

I'm planning to buy this amazing TV if the price is right.

    http://store.sony.com.au/KD75X8500D.html#start=1

    • Motionflow XR 800Hz (200Hz refresh rate)
    • 10 bit / 1 Billion colours

Happy to pay up to 3.5K.

    • Mate I'd like this one too. Quite curious as to what the 85" may go for too. Anyone ever seen the 85" on sale?

    • I doubt you'll get it for that price anytime soon.

  • I was just in Costco and noticed the 49in 70D which looks identical to the 7000D (both aesthics and stats). Does anyone know the differences between these as I can't find anything online. If they're the same I'm going to cancel my 7000D and grab the 70D @ $799.

  • Anyone have clue how to register properly? Tried like hundred times with different browser, cleared cache and still getting this error in red "An error occurred please try again later."
SONY seriously, get some professional programmer!

    • yet you still trust their TV's?
