Logitech K830 Wireless/Bluetooth Keyboard for $47.97 @ Costco (Membership Required)

610

Cheapest price i've seen for these. Usually see them for the $80-100 mark.
Please note that a Costco membership is required of $60. Plenty of stock in Ringwood.
Could potentially price match to Officeworks for an additional 5% making it $45.57

My original thought was that they would feel like laptop keys. Unfortunately they just feel like a generic membrane keys, the illumination is cool though. Perfect for watching movies in the dark and you need to pause it with its media keys.

Fantastic price of the insta-buy variety if you're after this device!

  • bluetooth?

    • Yes, I have this keyboard. It's worth it, especially with the illumination and mouse pad.
I paid $99 for mine from Costco a few months ago.

      • Damn that depreciated! $25 next year?

      • Go refund it, or see if they will refund you the difference if it's worth your time.

    • Yes this does have Bluetooth capabilities. Pair it with a smart t.v or phone/tablet

      • +1

I own this keyboard and the trackpad doesn't function when the dongle is plugged in to a smart TV USB port.

        • I'll try this when I'm home to see if it's a consistent problem

        • Works perfectly fine when i plug it into my Samsung T.V

        • @rakkihizoku: Hmmm, really? I have a Samsung UA55KU6000W and no trackpad joy for me.

    • There is an older version which didn't have bluetooth, so be careful. If it has bluetooth, the box will be adequately marked in the corners.

      • ticket says bluetooth

      • The one i purchase from Ringwood Costco has the bluetooth symbol

  • What's the cheapest Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo around?

    • Probably something from msy

  • Great post op, I'm not back home until next weekend so hopefully sale (and stock) still valid.

    • Not sure if it's even a sale but a permanent price reduction. Don't quote me on that though

      • It's a reduction, clearance is normally highlighted over the price and sales have coupon reductions.

        • +1

IIRC, deleted/clearance lines at Costco are usually priced with a .97 at the end, as in this case.

  • Still have yet to see a cheap (less than $35) bluetooth keyboard with traditional concave keys (not flat). Why? It boggles the mind. In other words, a completely traditional desktop keyboard like this in bluetooth (I can take or leave the number pad but just give me traditional key feel): http://www.logitech.com/en-au/product/k120?crid=27

Flat keys are an ergonomics backward step.
I don't use bluetooth often (almost never) but it would be handy sometimes. No reason not to give traditional key feel. Personally I'd love a wired/wireless combo unit. The wired bit being particularly useful for those who have flat batteries but still want to get on with it. Also especially good for those who don't want to always fry their brain with 2.4GHz but have the option for it when the need arises (also it would also be great for troubleshooting wireless issues).

  • Harvey Norman in Adelaide City Cross has 15% off Logitech stuff this weekend.

    • it's $147 on HN website.. so 15% off will still be more than office work $99. i wonder if OW price match costco? update: they don't as costco has membership fee.

  • +1

    Can OW do pricematch Costco?

    • Better still, in WA?!

    • +1

just called OW trinity Gardens SA. They don't price match Costco as they have membership fee.

      • +1

Just prices matched at OfficeWorks in Brisbane, just showed the photo and no issue.

        • lucky you got the deal. perhaps i should gi to some other stores

        • @Rsg:

          Yeah he was lucky.

          No go at Blacktown.

        • @CVonC: SA?

        • @Rsg:

Lol nsw. Shouldn't you know if a suburb is in your state?

        • @CVonC: lol, shouldn't you know while you replied to my post which say i'm in SA? let's play this shouldn't you know game. hahaha!

        • @Rsg:

Why is it my responsibility to check where you're from?

I was only replying to your statement about him being lucky. Then let everyone else know that it wasn't available at the particular suburb I listed.

        • @CVonC: my pointis it will be highly unlikely that you or i or anyone knows all the suburbs in their state. anyways good deal for costco members!

        • And most people will know most of the suburbs in their capital city where such stores exist.

        • @CVonC: could you name all the suburbs of nsw within a minute from your memory? all & most big difference.. I would not be upset if someone asks me which suburb is that? unless you drive buses or taxi you know them most but definitely not all!

        • @Rsg:

No ofcnt but mention a suburb and I'll more than likely know if it's in Sydney. Who said anything about being upset? You asked if it was in SA when a 2 click google could've insta answered your lazy query.

  • This would well with my pi board home theater setup.

I can confirm this is a fantastic keyobard for multimedia (aka controlling your tv) I havent even had to recharge it in over six months. I basically use it on my tv to control my pc from the other room.

    • what do you use to stream pc to tv? or do you cable up with HDMI?

      • You can use any suitable cable. I have my tv as a second monitor copying/mirroring the first.

  • Paid $89 at jb last yr. Best keyboard I have owned and I have gone through heaps. Battery lasts me a month between charges and I use it about 3-4 hrs a day.

  • Also available from CBR Costco (at the end of the rack near the Video Games new location). Grabbed on thanks OP

    • Many left? If I go tomorrow am I still likely to get one?

      • +1

They're pretty hidden, but I was the only one that picked one up that I seen when I was in around 12pm. When I left there was about 20-30 left.

        • +1

Thanks mate, will check it out today!

          @Natedogg: How did you go?

        • +2

@Lucifersfury82: Got one today around lunch time, plenty of stock left. Thank you for your help mate

  • Beware. Item is not on Ringwood Costco floor anymore.

      what?

At least 30 left now in Docklands CostCo.

    • 1 less now ;-)

  • None left at Lidcombe.

  • One seller on ebay suddenly with heaps of stock and selling at 78.97

    • Could well be the guy who picked up the entire stock from Costco Moorabbin last night. It was disappointing to hear from the crew at Costco that a guy walked up and took away the entire pallet full of stock! Of course, nothing left in Moorabbin now!

      • guessing must be cheaper than wholesale price. If only costo had limits per membership for special price items like this

        • Indeed, I wish so too…Well, from Costco's perspective they probably just care about stock flying off, don't care how. The bloke there told me it's a discontinued item for them so it's not coming back either.

    • you mean this seller for $78.90? i guess they're a business to make money so…

      • Arbitrage! At least someone is making money! Anyways, a good deal from the OP and to everyone who managed to snap a bargain!

  • +1

Thanks OP, got myself one for the TV! Plenty of stock left in Canberra at 12:00 today.

FYI anyone with a Samsung smart tv, couldn't discover the keyboard using bluetooth, however works fine with the USB receiver

  • Also fantastic for PlayStation/Xbox. Just setting up my nephews Xmas Xbox (no internet at home and I have fibre) and it makes the redeeming of codes a dream.

  • Another bastard cleared out every single one of them from casula store yesterday! This is bullshit

    • Yeah I asked Auburn to tell me how many in stock yesterday. They said 20 and this was around 5pm too. I'm here now at Casula and they're all friggen gone. I just wanted the one.

      • Damn it should have read this b4 going into store..

        • Just bought two From Casula, there's a shit load left in stock.

    • Just bought two From Casula, there's a shit load left in stock.

    • Just bought two From Casula, there's a shit load left in stock.

      • What…….

  • Just picked one up at the Adelaide store and typing on it now. They seem to have plenty.

  • Costco Docklands in Melbourne had a bunch left (20+) when I went to pick mine up this arvo.

    • None left it seems. I think someone is buying them up because I went in at 11am today to check!

      • None left @docklands?

        • Nope. Checked with the customer service people too; no dice. Disappointing…

  • Costco moorabbin has sold out. They said someone came in and bought 55 in one hit 😣

    • Broden is loose again.
