    "4G FDD-LTE:850/900/1800/2100/2600MHz, TDD-LTE: 38/39/40/41MHz"

    in before no B28

      "Does this have band 28?"

In before someone asks with out reading anything.

      • What I have noticed is that if it doesn't have B28 then its a fail but then we get people saying that B28 isn't important :/
So Maybe this should be cleared up for the normal person on the street that probably does not use mobile data on their phone.

The normal person doesn't use mobile data on their phone?

Why would the normal person need a smartphone then?

        • I have a note 3, no band 28. Live in Melbourne near CBD. On Telstra, works fine and fast. Never had band 28 so maybe it could be faster but I have no data performance issues at all

        • @brentsbits: Same. I really like my Note 3. I'm on the Vodafone network, and they don't use band 28, so that's no skin off my nose.

For anyone else reading, band 28 is only a real issue if you can't stay on your other band for some reason. Say if the network is too congested, or you're out somewhere and it can't find that band. BUT that's only for 4G. If it can't find it, it goes straight to 3G, which many people are happy with.

For the price, you can't go wrong with the Note 3 and Note 4.

        • Definitely, something with Band 28 might go faster but speed without it (at least in good coverage city/urban areas) isn't slow at all.

  • I have bought one from China. Simcard 2 on Optus and Simcard 1 on Lebara. They can all work on 4G network depending on which you select as the data sim card and another one will work on 3G. Good mobile with decent price.

I thought Aussies want the "Global Rom" http://www.geekbuying.com/item/Xiaomi-Redmi-Note-4-Pro-Helio… thats $185US

  • I would get a Snapdragon one - http://www.vickmall.com/xiaomi-redmi-4-prime-xiaomi-redmi-4-… - $159 from Vicmall. Its 3/32GB, but Snapdragon…

PS: Just saw that OP actually talking about Note…

No Band 28, no Snapdragon processor, no international ROM… This is NOT an improvement in any way on the RN3P, apart from 64GB storage.

    • We have lots of Asian and Indian students in Australia so these phones are fine for them and work great when they get back home …..they don't need band 28 or global roms.

    • I've had a China version RN3 for a while. No issues at all. A few pre-installed Chinese apps but you can easily ignore them.

Also no electronic compass, not a huge issue, but makes using it as a car navigation system a pain in the butt.

  • Interested in something like this, also looking at Mi5 3/32G (at $300) and Lenovo ZUK Z2 4/64G at around $260, any advice? I need 2 sims, no real heavy duty game playing just browsing and email and calls. Currently have Lenovo K3 and its a bit clunky but can put up with it but 2g on second sim kills it for me.

    • The Motorola g4 plus takes 2 Sims and supports 4g all bands …..lots of phone issues for dual Sim phones that only had 2g on one if the Sims since telstra turned off 2g this month.

  • Better off getting the Lenovo Zuk 2(better specs) posted earlier for a similar price if you don't mind the OS.

Its pretty much the standard price atm… I got one for $169 a couple of weeks back

the international rom is the same price so probably a better recommendation

    • yep same here.

Better off not going with Geekbuying, considering their less then stellar misleading business practices.

  • The older Xaiomi Note 3 Pro with the 650 Snapdragon still looks more appealing. Not really on a proper sale though.
