  • Getting a certificate warning when I try to click into your site

  • +2

can i build my own NBN with them?

    • I wanted to know this too :p

    • I asked Malcom Turnbull and he said no because he bought Telstra's junk copper network because he works for Telstra - which is also why he awarded Telstra the maintensance contract immediately after purchasing it from Telstra.

      Not making this up.

  • Thanks for giving me the suggestion but how can I fix it? We installed SSL on this website.

    • Speak with your web administrator

    • You've got mixed content, the page is serving over SSL but some items are being served over non HTTPS.

FireFox and Chrome have a whinge about that sometimes and throw a warning..

Mixed Content: The page at 'https://www.cablesonline.com.au/fibre/fibre-optic-cables' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure image 'http://www.cablesonline.com.au/skin/frontend/cableonline/default/images/CO-xmas-logo.gif'. This content should also be served over HTTPS.

Anyway, I guess you've fixed it? I can't see a certificate warning on either of those browsers.

You say "have a whinge", which makes it sound like a non-issue (I understand that it may have been a joke, but…)

However, mixed content can be quite a bad thing - allowing someone to manipulate what's being loaded by the page and put in the own nefarious bits! While, in this case, it may just be images - you cannot trust the integrity of the things that are being loaded (especially bad in the case of css, js, etc. files).

Sorry for my butting in - but TMYK, eh? :)

        • Whatever TMYK means.. you're totally right.

        • @athk: The More You Know ;)

  • Can this be used to copy file faster? (Eg between external hdd and computer)

    • No. Unless the HDD you mention is a SAN and your computer is a server.

      • Even so, you still need converter from fibre optic, right?

  • Thanks guys for identifying problem with my Website, Please visit now my site administration have fixed this problem.
