  • Needs a weight rating. :|

There's a reason why they don't tell you..

    • what is a weight rating ?

      • +1

Too low for Rep to answer…

    • Lower down the thread the rep says it's 120kg.

      • oh just max weight then not really a rating - it is written further down by the/a rep

has any tall person tried the 8 point massage version of this chair ?

        • I got the massage chair (from ebay - same one) and it was designed for someone who's 5". I'm only 5"11' and I can rest my head on the top of the chair as opposed to the back. Six inches shorter and you'd be ok.

That said the quality compared to Officeworks chairs is excellent and the vibration in the massage function is quite strong - three strength settings and I use it on the middle one that's how good it is. The chair also has thicker padding all over making it more comfortable than others and you don't feel lumpy massage points either.

It also has a separate piston so you can control how far the back leans back, and one for the seat, so it's extremely comfortable. Easily the best cheap chair I've had despite that it's a bit too small for me (eg. my elbows don't reach the armrests if I'm sitting back).

The only negative so far, had it a few months, is the cable but the connector easily comes apart so not a huge chance of breaking the cord.

I got mine for $155 whereas these guys have it for $148.

        • @Rutger: :/ I'm well over 6", but i'd love a chair like that -thanks for your feedback

  • What's the warranty as PU leather tends to peel / delaminate over time?

    • +5

It comes with 12 month warranty

      • +4

You're being downvoted for answering the question?

Come on guys, a $116 delivered office chair is not going to have an extended warranty.

    • +2

      120 Kg

  • cheaper on Ebay, although doesn't or probably doesn't include warranty
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Deluxe-Executive-Office-Chair-Pre…

    • Nor is it the same chair, although difference is really only superficial.

      • +1

Ebay one claims 150kg, for the more of us that are more of us.

  • PU 'leather' is good for about three years of daily use after which it will literally fall to pieces and you'll have to trash .. 🤐 .. btdt . !!

    • +1

PU leather = absolute bullshit terminology.
      Its a vinyl chair(or polyurethane).
Has nothing to to with leather.

      • +1

Yep, the word 'leather' is irrelevant. Just call it plastic.

  • I bought a similar one like this a few years ago but from another source. Good chair, but didn't suit my back all that well. So I don't sit in it for very long.

  • +2

PU leather / polyurethane = hello hard rubbish collection in 2020

Purchased a Chair to try. For $116 shipped, its a great excuse to replace my old 20+ year old computer chair.
I looked at officeworks but these chairs LOOK better. Lets see how we go.

  • +1

This almost looks like my current chair I got from officeworks about 2 years ago. The arms have begun to peel the "leather" but everything else is fine

    • +1

Same here… my old officeworks is peeling like a mofo. Bit disgusting. Might have to get this or similar.

  • Waste of money. Soft PU leather never lasts. You will end up buying a cover or it will fall apart. Arm rests or gas lift will prob fail shortly after. When buying chairs I would Shop around for your own wellbeing.

    • Totally agree…. but, when i bought a real leather one, i ended up replacing that too as the support inside it wore out. Cost to fix wasnt worth it. Maybe i didnt shop around enough though.

  • +1

I had one of these. After a while the fake leather started pealing off ending up on the floor.
