120

Was looking for a TV to buy for my parents for xmas.
Came accross this 60" Samsing curved LED TV
UA60JS7200WXXY for $1695 factory second 12 month warranty

Seems like a good deal, every other place that has a factory second seems to be selling it for about $2000

While not interested in this TV, these guys had the exact monitor I've been looking to buy (Samsung S34E790C 34" ultra wide 21:9 1440p) for a while now for $620, which is $370 less than the cheapest new version on staticice. +1 for pointing me there :).

  • Good price for the tv, although a not so good $333 delivery charge. I get that it's huge, but still… Would it cost more than usual because the screen is curved perhaps?

Not sure where you're located, but delivery to me (near Liverpool, NSW) is only $70. $90 for same day.

It does go up to $333 when you take the option for wall-mount installation, but I would not really consider that part of a standard delivery charge. Just wanted to let others know, in case your post scared them off a bit.

      • Yeah in Adelaide, only option available is "Door to Door Courier $333.03"

Nothing else selected which is why it's weird. Both mobile and desktop show the same thing. I dunno

    • FWIW, for Vic you can choose "2nds World Courier" which is only $69.

Correction: this is not a curved model. The model code UA60JS7200WXXY is just the flat version. IMO this is better, but the post should be updated.

    • Also, it's not Factory Second. It's in the Refurbished category.

Yeah - maybe they are optimistic and describing a warped TV as "curved"

    • +11

the curve IS the factory defect

    @n0va It's not a glitch, it's a feature, ship it!

  • Boxing day there is new 2016 60ks8005 going for $1996 this is last yeas model.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if one of these Tv's were mine. I had one of these taken away from me for a warranty claim because it had a red line straight through the middle. 2 days after the technician inspected the tv, the red line disappeared! But it was too late, Samsung had already agreed to exchange our tv for a new series 8.

It's a great tv though, superb picture quality. I highly recommend you put it in movie mode and either in warm 1 or 2.
