    Any special tools needed to install, aside from a vacuum pump and pipe flarer?
    At this price I'll take my chances voiding the warranty.

      We will recommend you to get this unit installed by a professional guy. Unfortunately we do not offer installation service, so i am not sure what tools is required to get this unit installed and running.

    If it's brand new wouldn't come with the manufacturer warranty rather then the rather limited 1 year?

        Then what is it? It's listed as brand new.

        Can you explain how it's brand new but fails to be covered under a manufacturers warranty.

        How did you come about getting stock? I mean you have to have at least 10 of these to be posted.

          It doesnt comes with manufacturers warranty, that is why it is going for cheap. We have a big warehouse located in Auburn, just for $600 we wont risk our business.

    Just checked warranty on www.samsung.com.au which lists the warranty for a brand new Samsung air-conditioner as being five years Parts and Labour and additional five years on the compressor (part only). If is brand new, rather than refurbished, it will come with a five years parts and labour. This offer sounds dodgy.

      Yes if you buy straight from Samsung you will get that warranty from them, but you will not be paying $600 for this unit then, we have a big warehouse and we give you 1 year warranty from us, which is 1 year.

        Something seems funny about this. You do not need to buy directly from Samsung to get their warranty.

        The seller obviously doesn't understand how warranties work which is a big red flag. Can't imagine trying to explain the ACL to them.

        Anyways, good luck to anyone who buys these. More trouble than they're worth.

        One year warranty is very poor indeed. Why is it that you are only prepared to offer a ridiculous one year when the normal practice for air conditioning industry is to offer 5 years parts and labour. This is not a good deal. Why are you not giving the 5 year warranty that Samsung offers on air conditioning? If it really is brand new in a factory sealed box, it would come with the five year warranty, that Samsung advertises. I smell something fishy going on here.

          Samsung themselves have said something about the warranty period with me being 5 years

          These units are cheap because: (maybe)

          1. Serial numbers may of been removed or tampered with
          2. Unit may be modified and changed by Reseller / Seller
          3. Warranty is void from Samsung if anything is changed / removed / serial tampered with
          4. Company is selling new goods when they are not new, Samsung confirmed 5/5 warranty on live chat so this can't be a direct shipment from Samsung

          Too much risk to save a few dollar IMHO

          I smell something exteremely fishy going on here and I advise Ozbargain Mods / Admins remove this deal until the OP confirms what is actually being sold here..

        The op states that if you buy an air conditioner straight from Samsung you will get a warranty from them. This does not sound right. A consumer never buys a Samsung air conditioner straight from Samsung. A consumer or end user buys an air conditioner from a dealer. The dealer then passes on the Samsung five year parts and labour warranty to the end user. OP your honesty will go a long way on this forum.

    Maybe this is a fake product and therefore not genuine Samung. This could explain why no Samsung 5 year parts and labour warranty. Does anyone have a contact in Samsung who can answer, fake or real with 5 year warranty? I love a good deal, but we all need to help each other and expose dodgy deals.

    The op lists the air conditioners as "Grade A". Brand New factory sealed units are not normally given a grade. The description "Grade A" suggest that these are not brand new factory sealed. It is time for the op to fess up and come clean about what exactly is being sold. The truth is all we want to hear.
