    • Yeah and store subscription going up too

      • Yep, just upgraded the the Anchor store package. Finally having access to the Dedicated Merchant support team will be a God send.

        • sick of ebay fees, c**ts opening cases for silly things and they take the coin straight away then you need to chase them to get it back. But on other hand there's no other way to sell that much stock that quickly like ebay

        • @Chef-Johnson:

It's a double edged sword mate, not only on top of what you said, also remaining competitive with pricing & quality.

  • Forgetting to reward the good customers again…Nice.

    • They did rewards us, those who bought in Nov dec got a $20 voucher. Not sure why angry.

      • Maybe for you buddy, spent Nov / Dec and got nothing?

  • +1

Was all about give up but then I tried one last account and it worked…

1-my current account - heavy ebay users - did not work
2-wifes account - set up last year, 1-2 purchases on it - did not work
3-new account - set up today, did not work
4- wifes old account that she forgot about - worked!! no purchases for the past 2 years (ratings less than 5)

Maybe it makes sense to stagger purchases on annually created accounts. Use them once or twice and wait to be targeted.

Thanks for the post! Good luck.

  • Hey does anyone know how to check whether I was one of the targeted eBay members? I have an inactive account but can't seem to find it.

Or do I just use trial and error with the coupon code on a random item.

    • add something to your card, and test to see if the code works.

Just make sure you click on add to cart, not buy now. :)

  • Same here…This code can't be applied. It's linked to a different account.

  • Missed out again. Never seem to get these things.

I usually only buy low value stuff from China, but I want to buy a HP Spectre Notebook/Tablet and a 10% would have been handy.

I just set up a new account, but they didn't give me the voucher there! I'll check again tomorrow.

  • Merged from URGENT: 10% CSHOPTECH Code Not Working on eBay (Expires Tonight)

I'm trying to buy something on Ebay using the 10% tech code (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/ebay.com.au)

I'm trying to buy this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/232123196922 and http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231560470425.

However it isn't working. I've checked the terms and conditions and the items are in the correct category (Computers/Tablets & Networking).

The error is simply "This code can't be applied. It's linked to a different account.".

The step by step process I'm going through is literally adding these 2 items to the cart, getting some $10 off offer for buying 2 items automatically, logging into paypal when pressing pay with paypal from above, then adding the coupon code.

I've tried using the coupon code for just one of the items (both monitor and cable alone) and it doesn't work still.

Anyone has any ideas what is going wrong? It's expiring tonight and I need urgent replies. I don't think Ebay support will be able to get back to me in time.

It's a targeted deal which is only available to select accounts.

      • Thanks for that. That explains everything.

I was trying to find the original thread to find more details but I couldn't. This clears a lot of things up. I might just hold off on this purchase and wait then.
