Is it bad that The Wiggles is the only name on the list I recognise?

    • +4

      yes you are bad boy.
how come you dont know tina arena and guy seb?

      • Oh wait, I remember Guy now.

Irish living in Sydney and barely take my ears off spotify. Very little radio exposure

Johnny Farnham!!! - you don't know Johnny???

        • @stormii: Of course I know Johnny! He's just not on that list.

        • +2

@ColonelYumYum: Ahh, my bad, I sped read it and thought John Foreman was John Farnham. Isn't John Foreman Bert Newton's old music guy?

        • +1

@stormii: i think you have mistaken them with george foreman…

          and mike tyson!

        • @dragonindespair: Feeling trollish today are we? You bait ain't that great mate.

    • +1

Not if you're under 7 years old ;-)

I thought Dami Im would be performing in London for Australia Day?

    • Different day in England (to us) because of timezones, they have time to do both.

      • ahhhh didn't think of that. Thanks!

" All remaining tickets are currently in checkout carts. Some may be returned. We will advise here when the ticket allocation is exhausted. "
    That was quick.

    • seriously? wow.. well opera house courtyard is small so probably just couple thousand max.

      • Pity the Botanical Gardens is closed of a night.

    • Noooooo, maybe they have a daily limit?

      • of course they have. what, unlimited event?

        • I meant a daily ticket sale limit, and issue more tomorrow, hence the word DAILY.

  • Number of users in queue ahead of you: 446

    Can i cut in?

    • 477 for me

  • Just got mine now. I was waiting about 20 mins.

    • Congrats

I went a couple of years ago when I knew I would be in Sydney at that time for work (I'm from Melbourne) - good fun although it was raining a bit on the day.

Ahhhh… Australia Day. The day where Aussies get drunk, have a BBQ and celebrate the day the Aboriginals were invaded and subsequently massacred. This is of course one point of view.

Should I vote FOR Aboriginal recognition in our constitution and changing the date of Australia Day or AGAINST these proposals?

I am participating in one of those large studies conducted by a credible pollster.

What does this have to do with the deal? Try stirring shit in the forum lamb chop.

    • same with melbourne cup, the race that stop the nation because everyone (not every horse) drunk

      Nothing better to do hey?

    • Fredz, have you given up your house and land to the aboriginals? or are you just another loud mouth left wing, annoying everyone, yet achieving absolutely nothing?

      • Right wing, left wing. It's all nonsense. Right wing people are usually more evil, though

  • Wait list only atm.

    • Did it let you process order, I have 2 waitlist tickets in cart but it won't let me complete.

      • Yes it processed.

        • Mine is greyed out … help!

          Edit: Site crashed! I had waitlist 182 & 183 … sob.

        • @stormii:

          Mine is 400 something :(

  • Wait list on 1250ish… I don't think I will get one but who knows

  • Am waitlisted #198. Started on queue 421. All tickets are exhausted. This queue is only for waitlisting assuming someone cancels.

    • And since the tickets are free, I suspect some people may forget about them, or neglect to cancel :-(

  • Wait, What! No Shannon Noll? ;)

    • He's busy - going to the
      strippers that night.

  • Don't worry about tickets, i went last year, they opened the gates for everyone.

    • Srsly?

Could you elaborate more about your experience?

      • I had tickets, but they didn't have anybody asking or checking, the only area where you definitely need a pass, is the VIP area where people like Mike Baird was. The stairs in front of the opera house get taken pretty quickly, but there is a lot of standing room. Even when they sold out of tickets last year, the area was not even half full.

I turned up to the Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk a few years back and just walked across without a ticket, I was oblivious that you needed one until I told a friend and she asked me how I got one. I do think if half of OzB turns up without one, they may not be so cool though. We could always pull a Woodstock.

  • +4

Jesus, I'm the waiting list for Guy Sebastian. Where did it all go so very wrong?

    • +1

It went wrong when Shannon Noll got super busy the last few days…

      • +1

I'm ON the waiting list not THE waiting list, that would be odd. On Shannon Noll, he demanded the bouncers let him back in on the basis that he was Shannon Noll???

        • Based on that we should all rage quit life.

        • +1

Poor Shannon's probably got PTSD about his street cred, and you can likely blame me for contributing…I was introduced to him in Beaumont St, Hamilton (Newcastle) quite a few years back, he was quite miffed I didn't know who dafuq he was, supposedly in his heyday!

I wasn't trying to be an ass either (not that I usually have to try), but at that time I genuinely didn't know him from Adam. ;)

  • Thanks just booked, so just show the ticket on my phone?

    • No the real tickets are being sent out from yesterday to your emails. Print them.

  • I got few tickets from my friends, they have things popping up that time. Message me for tickets, first in first served.

  • Really they sent tickets for when we reserved it? I pressed my email link n can't find tickets?

    • no when you reserved they send email confirmation/invoice only.
last week they sent reminder explaining tickets will be released from 23 jan.
on the 23 jan i got another email with ticket attached (pdf).

why you didnt check your email? probably went to junk folder? gee

  • So how do I get my tickets. Now?

  • For those who have been in the past, is there seating provided in the forecourt or is it standing room only?
Also can we BYO food, etc?
