IKEA 365+ Food Container $1 ($1.95) @IKEA SA Possibly WA

160

I have been using these lunch boxes for a few years and have been happy with the quality.

There seems to be a new version of this with a grey colour lid so Ikea must be clearing out the old model.

I've also got a lot of these. They are so strong and seal well, unlike a lot of other brands.

    I recommend them.

    Do these require assembly?

Yes. It's bigger than you think. Here's a photo of me putting it together last night http://imgur.com/a/Cw38a

      • Nice floorboard though.

      • Did it hurt when you chopped your legs off?

  • Only 1576 left in stock in Perth

  • I've used these ones and the glass ones.

The glass ones are heavier and a few dollars more per unit, but are a lot easier to keep clean. If you use anything with tomato based sauce in the plastic ones, they will get stained.

That being said, the plastic ones do seal amazingly well and are really robust.

    • I bought several glass ones when they first came out. They broke when nesting and I threw the remaining few out because I didn't want to deal with broken glass. I keep wanting glass, but this put me off Ikea glass storage.

      • That sucks. Did you nest them soon after washing or similar? Glass can change size a lot when the temperature changes.

I've dropped mine a few times and found them to be quite robust

Its probably been 6 years. or thereabouts. I don't remember. You raise a good point. I don;t know that I'll buy again due to using pull out storage shelves now and don't want the strain. But good point.

  • Can anyone confirm price for WA? I wouldn't mind grabbing a few.

  • Its a lunch box?

$1 is not IKEA style. $0.95 is more IKEA-ish.

    • Yes, but SA is 30 years behind the times…

    • More like $100+ after you walked through the whole store and bought all this other stuff you didn't need.
