Yep, joined a few weeks ago :)

      • @LYL Is Mobileciti Samsung's participanting parter store for the gear fit2 offer?

        • Want to know this as well. Tnx

      • Isnt the difference that this is local stock?

  • Any iPhone 6S or Plus deals?!

Sony XA hardly a deal when had it for 169 at target last week with a 30 dollar Vodafone sim

    • -2

Last week deal at Target was Vodafone locked handset while this is unlocked.

      • +4

Handset was unlocked as bought some… and in unlikely event it was locked you can unlock it free online.

This is ozbargain not Oz recommended retail

      • +1

its unlocked from target.also with 30 dollars sim starter kit. Now its still 199 bucks

    • +1

i don't know why anyone is down voting you but you are right i bought an unlocked Xperia XA for $169 with $30 Vodafone starter recently from target pm me for proof.

Bloody good deal for Australian stock of the Iphones. Annoying thing now after all the research I did and messing around my wife doesn't want one anymore. Thanks lyl

    • +1

My G2 plus came in from overseas for $320 …. $350 for Australian stock is good if you need a phone in a hurry and want local warranty ….the 10% difference in grey vs Australian stock is probably one has gst, the other doesn't.

How much does JB or Good guys want for one of these if you need a phone in a hurry ?

Speed costs money ….. how fast do you want it.

  • Best deal to price beat from Officeworks.

  • Motorola dual Sim G4 is tempting

    • +1

the moto G4 plus is a great phone, and due to get Android 7 …. with the dual sim for my son, one sim is used for voice calls, the other sim is a data only sim….. so if he exceeds his data plan, he doesn't get the $10gb bill ….. sim stops and asks for recharge….. he's 9 yrs old and pocket money is limited by chores …..as is his data plan.

Only thing I haven't been able to set up (I'm lazy) is to use data via wireless if turned rather than 4G, might be a setting to stop people accidentally using wireless on open networks with passwords when they thought it was secured network on 4G. I'm sure my 9 yr old has worked it out though.

Nice deal Lyl. Quick search shows this to be one of the better prices for the iphone SE since it was released in March 2016.
Mighty tempting to get as a gift for someone who desperately needs to replace an old slow iphone…
    TRS available too…

  • Good price on the iPhone SE. I paid $656 on the 10% off sale in Nov.

They are still $749 on the apple website!!!

  • Hi guys can anyone recommend tablet best value for money to buy using the discount
Is the tab 4 Samsung any good ?

  • +1

Oh wow, I just bought a phone. Going to give the Moto G4 Plus a go. Thanks Lyl! Been needing a replacement since I bricked my Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

    • +1

i moved from redmi note 3 to moto g4 standard, i like the moto better even though it has less ram and a slightly weaker processor! The software, thinness/build and camera are fantastic, and battery life is somehow only like 20% worse than the RN3 ! Getting nougat next month too, with the useful quick reply system wide feature

      • thanks mate, I'm feeling a bit more re-assured now. Looking forward to getting back to Android (I'm using a friends iPhone 5S right now as a temp phone and I HATE it!)

        • you will love it, G4 plus is super underrated! The inbuilt "Moto" app has some incredibly useful features!

  • Thanks Lyl & TA. Saying goodbye to my Note 2 - picked up an S7 and an Iphone 6S - can you toss in a case for the S7 (SKU:8806088251783)?

  • Will that Moto G4 plus work well for travel in Europe/America?

(I get confused about versions and bands and APNs etc…)

    • +1

      Yes=.

    • +2

yep and you have all the Australian 4G bands including band 28

      • What about Asia countries like Hong Kong and Japan?

  • +3

If anyone has a budget of less than $400 then the Moto G4 Plus is the only phone to go for. We still have people on this forum buying the Samsung Galaxy S5 which is bizarre when you can get a phone of this quality for less.

    • It's cause people just go with brands rather than substance

  • Thanks for this deal! Was waiting out on ebay for a decent used iphone but am opting for a new phone from here at a price point of 30% more. Stoked!

  • +1

is the Moto G4 running on stock android? or is it some motorola inhouse rubbish firmware?

    • using the phone right now, its basically as close to nexus as you can get, but with one or 2 really good additions such as moto display and chop for flashlight

  • The Moto G4 PLus is still far cheaper on this Ozbargain deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/285019

Phone is excellent, running dual SIM working in Manila with Aussie SIM in 2nd slot connected to 3G. So a good phone for dual SIM in Australia as they switch off 2G network. Also the Android M that comes with it is very clean and the dual SIM functionality is excellent. Also separate MircoSD rather than second SIM or Micro is excellent.

Phone does have some ghost touch issues when Turbo Charging so its not perfect and the lack of compass chipset is a bit annoying when navigating by foot, its okay for turn by turn when driving. Overall the phone is excellent for the price.

Waiting for the Android Nougat OTA update which should come soon as they have rolled this out for the Indian model XT1643.

    • same here about android 7 …… it gets pushed our by carriers ????? so I need to be with the carrier that has moto G4 support to get the update ????

I had hoped it was a usb cable, Moto app and go to their web site …. I checked and lucked out on their web site.

      • +1

I only think it gets carrier approval for handsets brought through the carrier, see link which makes out this will be Verizon and AT&T who contracted the G4 Plus. http://www.ubergizmo.com/2016/12/android-7-0-nougat-moto-g4-…

I think the settings/about phone/system updates just checks Motorola but that's a guess.

    • +2

That's grey import. I got burnt before on LG G4. For extra $40 I get local warranty hassle free. No need to deal with overseas

    • lol given how unreliable smartphones are, I'd never buy from a crowd like eglobal again. If the likelihood of a phone dying was lower, I'd get suckered in again by their cheap prices the $50 saving isn't worth the warranty hassle when the likelihood of a claim is so high (by high I don't mean >50%, high is relative to your dishwasher or home PC etc).

  • Just bought the black G4 plus. Nice price. Cheapest yet for 32gb.

Hope it's good for the dual Sim! I'm getting sick of using work's windows phone I'm going to BYO

    • It's the 3GB RAM that's the win, not so much the internal storage which you can increase using MicroSD.

      • You are right and that's the reason i got this rather than One plus 3, that phone is $200 more and has no SDCard slot. With less bands too

  • Waiting on that samsung gear3 to drop

    • 449 sold. thank you. Happy australia day stay safe.

  • Just wondering if I just bought a iphone 7 and was planning to use it overseas would it be simply just putting in any overseas sim card and just be using it like an AU one?

  • G4's sold out… :(
