    Nice.

    Can of tuna
    Can of jalepenos
2 wedges of Laughing Cow light

    Mix in bowl.

Low calories and 30+ grams of protein.

Delicious as a spread with breakfast sandwiches as well (eggs+bacon)

    • +3

A whole can of jalapeños? Wouldn't their flavour dominate the mixture?

      • +4

A whole can of jalapeños? Wouldn't their flavour dominate the mixture?

Chewing on a paper towel would dominate the bland tastelessness of this "cheese that is not cheese".

        Blehhh, I wouldn't even pay $2 LOL

As an aside, when the adverts for a similar product comes on TV, my son always yells out "Mini babybels, we hate 'em"

    • +1

When you say "can" of Jalapenos, do you have a link? Sounds kinda tasty.

  • This is a good deal - I just got 2 for $6 at Coles.

I bought two of each version. They were in the refrigerator section but I thought they could be at ambient temperature. These are good to take to some places in third world countries where the food is both unhygienic and uninteresting. If it's interesting and unhygienic I'll consider it, but not both. Good to slip in your bag if you are going somewhere that doesn't make cheese. I love my "liquid" cheese. 😀

    Good first post.

    • +2

Thx. Normally someone on ozbargin beats me to posting on everything I think is deal worthy.

  • They sell 3 packs of these at Costco. I think for similar price or a little lower? Can't recall exactly

    ha ha ha

    • Says the 'cow'…
      :D

    • +1

Cow crying at being forcefully inseminated, having her calf taken from her and killed so people can take her mother's milk, and finally bellowing in fear at the slaughterhouse when her lactation can't keep up with the younger cows. But profits and cheese!

      Real funny.

      • +5

'Crying Cow' vegan cheese, coming soon to a supermarket near you..

      • This makes me sad because it's true.

I joke a lot but did you know cows do cry when walking the slaughter house?

      • Yes you're right, we should leave the cows out in the wild where they'll get ripped apart by another animal or starve to death over the process of months or break a leg and die from gangrene over a few weeks, nature is so much better for the cows!

        • +4

Average life of beef cattle - 2 years.
Average life of dairy cow - 4-5 years.
Average life of male cattle in dairy - weeks.
Average lifespan of cattle in nature - 20+ years. (what predators?)

Number of cattle in 'the wild' - sfa.
Percentage of premature cattle deaths in the wild - even less.
Number of cattle force bred in agriculture every year - hundreds of millions.
Percentage of premature cattle deaths in agriculture - almost 100%.

          Get your facts straight.

        • @thevofa: I'm a meat eater, but this is a great comeback.

There likely aren't too many predators in Australia that would consider taking a cow down, a pack of wild dogs or dingoes perhaps but not sure how they would go.

        • @thevofa: Actually, a croc would probably be main predator of a cow here, but only in certain regions of course.

I could probably improve your health too if I locked you up, doesn't mean it's a good idea…

Though on a serious note, the solution is to let cows die out - not release them into the wild. They're domesticated and incredibly damaging to the environment.

This is meant to be OzBargain, not WannabeOzPETA.

Anybody who feels the need to post a comment on a bloody bargain website whining about the plight of dairy cows is clearly drinking too much bull's milk.

Human slave holders said similar things in their own days.

If you're uncomfortable with it then don't blame me, blame your conscience.

    Good price for Laughing Cow

Seems like a pointless product in Aus where quality cheese can be had cheap, but this stuff is a good on the go treat.

    • +1

In Aus quality cheese can be had cheap??? Where?

      • Aldi has pretty reasonable prices on their cheeses

      • In SE Asia it's extremely difficult to buy real cheese. Laughing Cow is the only option 99% of the time. <$10 a KG for cheddar is a BARGAIN!

  • +2

Moo moo moo hahaha moo moo haha moo ha hahah moo moo

    • This is no laughing matter

      This cheese is fantastic!

      • Dads in da house.

  • +4

Yep can confirm kids use the Aldi version for throwing at people

  • +1

This product also gets me worried, I see some shop sells them in ambient directly under the sun and others sells them in the fridge… been a dairy product I would think it needs to be chilled at all time?

    • Probably like those cheese stringers. Ambient cheese.

      • +2

        Ambient cheese.

        …produced by Eno?

        • +1

I actually like some of the bands he works with.. but had a laugh anyway.

        • +1

@Gravy: nah wasnt saying eno is cheesy or anything…
          i like eno & i like cheese….combining the 2 seems like a good idea :P

        • @franco cozzo: Ha. I'm amazed that album above was released in 1978, I hadn't heard it before. Sounds a bit like the soundtrack to American Beauty.

        • @Gravy: good album for sure…i tend to like his instrumental work from that era

        • @Gravy: That is a fine album.

    • What surprised me the most is that SupaBarn(sans souci nsw) sells them refrigerated AND room temperature.Same product, similar 8 piece package, different weight and different price!!!

Edit: Apparently the room temp one is the "pantry" version.
      see first question here

  • Hi
    Thanks for posting this deal.
Personally I don't eat the stuff but my husband repeatedly tells me how superior the Aldi version is. .. $2 every day as someone has already said.

    • Yeah my daughter prefers the aldi one too. Cool with me!

  • Is anyone paleo here? Love dis shit

    • +2

Sheeit, you can just call anything paleo these days if packaged cheese is consider er … paleolithic. I mean really? Back when I listened to anyone talking about diet I thought a basic rule of paleo was not opening a packet for obvious reasons.

      Paleo lel.

Costco 24 pack of Happy Cow for $3.69. Laughing Cows like another $1 on top.

  • I loving the Laughing Cow cheese. It reminds me of my childhood. I just loved them! Tonight I just picked up three packs. One original and two of the new flavour. Herbs. OMG, yum!

  • This stuff is so healthy for u makes you young again.

  • +2

Try having one with sea salt potato chips.

    • Or squeezing that cheese in a bowl and serving people with crackers
