Last posted in 2014 so I feel like it's time for a reminder. Stamps are bloody expensive these days!

With a free MyPost Concession account, you'll pay just 60c per stamp, instead of $1. You can buy up to 50 stamps per year, in booklets of 5 for $3.
You'll even get a free booklet of 5 concession stamps to get you started.

The following Australian Federal Government concession cards are accepted as proof of eligibility for a MyPost Concession account.

  • How do they check if the sender is eligible?

I remember getting 60c stamps at my PO, I thought it was a regular price. For the last weeks they've been selling me $1 ones and I thought they increased it this year. I'm not eligible for any concession.

      • So no they don't check.

Cool g, ta. Now take your chill pill.

They don't check. Besides needing the correct MyPOST card when buying the stamps, no other checks are done.

I remembered signing up and buying stamps but I didnt get any free 5 concession stamps.

Wonder they can afford it after the millions they pay that (profanity) Fahour

    • +4

He's an absolute tosser, I hope they get rid of him and bring someone better to take the reigns.

Effing Fahour has turned Australia Post backwards. Instead of streamlining services, parcels take longer to deliver!

Not to mention the millions in his package that gets funnelled to some Islamic museum. Crikey. We can blame Malcolm Frazer for corporatising the Post Master General's Department

I got the 5 free concession stamps when I signed up. This is ongoing so isn't really a special deal.

Good for you but what about the people that don't know about the free stamps or the 60c deal?

      • Its in the guide that they give concession card holders.

What makes you think people read that or know about it? You buy a book of road rules when you go for your license but have you seen how many people have NFI what they are doing on the road?

        • +2

No it isn't. I just checked the information that Health Care Card holders receive and it mentions discounted mail redirection, but says nothing at all about concession stamps.

Any petitions to sack the CEO?

He comes in, introduces a "priority" parcel service and consequently increases the number of days between cities for standard delivery. I don't see any discounts on postage costs. His motive is to make Australia Post "sustainable" but what about his million dollar salary that keeps increasing??

    Sack this incompetent idiot.

If he gets sacked he will pull out the race/religion card, and whinge that he is being discriminated against for being Muslim. Grow some balls Malcolm Turnbull.

      • +4

To hell with that. The general public don't like him so he can just piss off (to put it nicely).

+1 Turnbull should grow a pair

    • Deliveries were quicker 100 years ago.
