  • Great city. Hotels are not cheap though…. We paid more for a 3-star in Ho Chi Minh than a 5-star in Kuala Lumpur.

    • I am fussy with my hotel selections, but I found that Hotels in HCMC were cheap as long as you stay away from the sterile and expensive areas. Pham Ngu Lao is great for inexpensive food, drink, and accommodation. Even though the area is referred to as 'Backpacker' area it is not really all that bad. The area has a lot of atmosphere and character.

    This may help a few:-
"Until 30 June 2017 ‘British Citizen’ passport holders travelling for tourism or business can enter Vietnam for up to a maximum of 15 days without a visa."

  • You can always enjoy a swim and drink at outdoor pool at Singapore airport. Need to take own toiletries. Took a small travelling towel. Can't remember if one available. Very relaxing swim and shower. Think it cost about US $12
