  • Got one

    Note. Brand new but unboxed

      • +1

If this is the case it would be false advertising as they state it's a Microsoft branded controller.

We all on the roller coaster now :p

      • +9

        Then they say

Works with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and Tablets.

The original Xbox one controller cannnot be used on PC without the dedicated reciever AFAIK

WRONG. You can use the controller without any receiver, simply by plugging into a USB port.

You would need to buy this Xbox 360 Wireless Controller for Windows (microsoft.com). So unless they are selling this particular product, then the item may be counterfit

That is totally illogical. Whether a wireless receiver is included in the box or not doesn't change whether a standard Xbox One controller works with a Windows PC.

Here is X-Box Controller on Microsoft AU site that DOES NOT include adaptor, yet clearly states "The controller works with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and tablets.".

        • Yeah I missed that. They work with windows via USB no issues

      • Works with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and Tablets.

It does work with PC if you plug in a micro usb cable. They just write that to let you know that no additional software is needed to make it run. You will, however, need the dedicated receiver to use it wirelessly with your PC.

      • Microsoft already released a driver to allow users to connect Xbox One controllers to Windows 10 machines via micro USB cable. You only need to buy the dongle is you want to connect the controller wirelessly.

      • -1

Anyways, good luck trying to get a refund if it turns out to be counterfit

        1. Pay using a SAFE PAYMENT METHOD, rather than cash.

        2. If counterfeit, get full refund via your payment processor.

are these the new Bluetooth ones?

    • +4

I don't think so. Hard to tell but doesn't mention bluetooth

    • +1

No, they do not have bluetooth. You can tell by the design of the top part. It does, however, have the audio jack.

  • -2

So not for x box one s?

    • +2

      M$ site says this

      "Accessories compatibility

Except for the vertical stand for the Xbox One S, all Xbox One accessories work with both the original Xbox One and Xbox One S consoles."

      • +3

Any Xbox One controller is compatible with any Xbox One, but the S controller is an improved one with more features.

    • +2

Pretty sure the original xbox controller works on the s as well. I've got both consoles and I'm certain I've used one of the original controllers for multi-player on the s.

      • +1

That's not the problem. They're all compatible, but the Xbox One S controller has some design and functionality changes. The current version has a headphone port and bluetooth.

        • Is this the S version?

        • -2

going bassed of the information given it shows it has a 3.5mm headphone port so maybe its the bluetooth one ?

        • That wasn't the question though. I know of the differences and the new controller does have noticeable improvements. But I'm happy to pay 39 for the original controller.

        • +2

@AliensStoleMyMoney: Maybe, maybe not. As far as I know there have been three versions of the controller, one with neither, then one with headphone jack, and then one with headphone jack and bluetooth.

        • @MrMcHairyHead:

damn hope so for ya . i wanted the 3.5mm jack

        • @MrMcHairyHead:

That's right, Original XBone had 2 different controllers.

        • @MrMcHairyHead: Correct!

        • @YellowKnight: No. This is the second iteration, which has a headphone jack but no bluetooth.

        • @AliensStoleMyMoney:

          Original had no headphone jack.
Was revised a year or two later with headphone jack.

Then revised again with the S, with bluetooth.

    • Should work on slim xbox
      My other ones do

  • woo 3.5mm standard jack just hwat i was looking for to use with the xbox win 10 adapter when im laying down playing on the 48inch :D much appreciated OP

Expect your item to be delivered 1-2 months if you were to purchase today.

    • Your order is estimated to arrive from 09/03/17 to 14/03/17

Ozsale are not too bad. Groupon is pathetic.

      • Groupon isnt perfect as well, however for ozsale I had a bad experience (took something around over a month to arrive) and http://www.productreview.com.au/p/ozsale.html shows that Im not alone. Maybe theyve improved since recently but we will see :)

        • +1

Groupon sent me the wrong sized chucks once. They asked me to return it (at their cost thankfully). After over a month I had to chase them up to see whether or not they received the return. They couldn't offer me the correct size because they just couldn't source it? So instead they offered me either store credit or a full refund. Like I would even consider store credit with them. Had I not chased them up they would've just ran off with my money. So annoying.

        • Also had a shocking experience with ozsale. Ordered 3 items, took over 6 weeks to arrive and when they did, only 2 items were there… Then to top it all off they were counterfeit shirts!
Attempted many emails/calls, ended up just cutting my losses and burned the shirts as an effigy

        • I ordered a pair of shoes from ozsale mid last year and it took around 3 months for them to even be sent to me.

  • Delivery is not free for me. Showing as $48.95 is there a code?
    Edit (Need a new account)

    • Same. Delivery not free.

    • was free with my non-new account..

    • I tried using my 2 year old account it was $9.95 delivery.
made a new account and it was free, wierd haah.

  • Bought one. Thanks. Same price as second hand gumtree >.>

  • Got 2. Great price. Thanks.

  • Bought one. Thanks.

  • +2

Is this the cheapest these has been?
    I hope these are original.

    • +2

      Cheapest I've seen

  • They've got a wired headset for $12 too. Is this good? Do I need one of these? I'm a very casual gamer at best, so I imagine it's not worth getting. I have 2 x Xbox one's though. 1 as a media player, and the other for my 2 kids to play just dance in another room.

    • +1

Wasn't there one in the box when you bought the two xboxes?

      • You're right! But only 1, and still wrapped up unused in a drawer somewhere. The other I got second hand without headset. So, in guessing it's a 'no'.

  • +3

    Windows compatible?

    • +1

Via usb yes or via the wireless adaptor(sold separately)

      • +1

doh just bought it. I wonder where to get wireless adapter from

The description said "Works with Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs and Tablets." so I jumped. I hope that the adapter is included with this one

        • It won't include adaptor. Has a RRP of 34.95 I think

        • I hope that the adapter is included with this one

You will be disappointed here. A standard "Xbox Controller" doesn't include a Wireless PC Adaptor.

This is the same principle that a game disk that says "works with Xbox One" doesn't include the console itself.

        • Britta is right, it works with Windows but only wired or with the adapter (which is too large and bulky to use with a laptop on your lap unfortunately, and does not come with the controller).

This isn't the bluetooth edition of the controller - which exists, but is newer and this isn't it. I can tell because the design is also slightly different.

        • Otherwise just plug it in using any microUSB cable like I do

        • @britta:
picked one up for 20 bucks not so long ago cant remember where might have been jb hi fi on special or big w /hardley normal

        • @britta: Thanks Britta, I contacted them and they said that they cancelled it and refunded the money, so bullet dodged.

      • Really? The description on JBHifi's page says Bluetooth. So there are two types?

        • Yep, old and new ones.

        • The New Xbox one controller that was released with the Xbox one S is Bluetooth. Don't know why they didn't call it Xbox one controller S?

        • +1

Really? The description on JBHifi's page says Bluetooth

Why are you looking an JB Hifi's page?

          So there are two types?

There are THREE main types of Xbox one controllers, and also there's different manufacturing versions as well.

We have 2 of the "2nd generation" controllers that have 3.5mm earphones jack, but no Bluetooth. Those controllers are both quite different, and feel different to use.

And there are numerous versions of Xbox 360 controllers too. There was all manner of changes and variations made as they upgraded the design.

    • it seems so

  • No 3.5mm adaptor?

  • +7

Thanks got one for no reason :D

  • -7

    Is this the S version?
    Edit: why the neg?

    • I didn't neg, but question asked and answered already

  • i was just looking for product pictures when i came across these ones from eb games. they ARE however, printed (not just plain black) and wired though.

    https://ebgames.com.au/xbox-one-215791-Marvel---Captain-Amer…

but for 36 dollars new picked up that's pretty okay too right?

  • thanks OP. Pity the referral system requires $40 min purchase

    • +1

There's a hat you can get for $2 on the website.

  • On one hand, I already have a really nice wired controller to use, and a DS3 if I need wireless.

On the other hand, it really is a bargain

  • Ordered one, thanks OP + given

  • Great deal. Cheers OP

  • +4

I've purchased a couple of items from OzSale in the past and in my experience they sell a lot of counterfeit / knock off items.

    Unboxed - Buyer beware

    • +1

How do you spot a counterfeit controller like this one?

      • +1

        http://www.xbox-skyer.com/content.php?r=4718-%E6%96%B0%E5%B9…

There has been counterfeit Xbox one controllers since day one.

        • Lol If anyone who can't read Chinese would really be confused due to the inconsistent comparing order of the pics. TBT, these counterfeit ones are really good as they use quite a few original parts.

        • @gosund: These day one controllers are the better quality counterfeit controllers, since they are actually using the original parts which has not passed the QC test from the same factory making original. But nowadays, they are using their own parts in the counterfeit ones, which means worse quality.

    • examples please?

    • They have cheap JBL Charge 3's that ship from China. Are they likely to be fake?

  • Anyone know how good these are for pc use? I was planning to buy a steam controller this week from EB Games, but given the price I could hold off for postage if this is a better option.

    • i'd prefer a xbox controller tbh

    • +1

Overall, the Xbox controller is probably the best you can get for PC.

      • Maybe but the Steam Controller is demonstrably better if you persist with it. For example you can play FPS almost as fast as a mouse user.

  • its the old general of controller. idk about the detials but it is.

not major diff, but just so you know.

    • bumpers on old controller suck and no headphone jack !!

    • didnt the old controller not have a 3.5mm jack ?

      • not the orignal !!

        • +1

welll this wont be the original then as it states it has the 3.5mm jack :)

  • +1

why is it unboxed? sounds dodgey?

  • +6

Cheers bought one, current controller has semen damage .

    • +2

would like to know what games you're playing..none of the games I played on the xbone got me 'that' excited ;)

      • +1

Well I mean… Overwatch has some nice assets…
