Unreal 2: The Awakening
You are John Dalton, an ex-Marine assigned to patrol the edge of human space as a Marshal for the Terran Colonial Authority. Unexpectedly, your monotonous life is shattered by a chilling distress signal, plunging you into an adventure beyond belief.
Violent turmoil among the races has erupted on your watch. Thrust into a conflict that will determine the fate of the galaxy, you are humanity's only hope for salvation. Only you can prevent the Awakening.

Unreal Gold
Your prison ship has crash-landed on the fastest, sleekest, most dangerous 3D world ever created. Look around, crystal clear water shimmers, shadows dance and shift, alien architecture fades into the horizon. Discover the secret of this mysterious planet and find out what caused a peaceful race to be enslaved by vicious merciless aggressors.

Unreal Tournament 2004: Editor's Choice Edition
Unreal Tournament 2004 is a multiplayer first person shooter that combines the kill-or-be-killed experience of gladiatorial combat with cutting-edge technology. Ten game modes - both team-based and "every man for himself" — provide even the most hardcore gamer with palm-sweating challenges through unbelievably detailed indoor arenas and vast outdoor environments. As the ultimate techno-gladiator of the future, players will take their fates into their hands, battling against up to 32 other players online in action-packed, frag-filled arenas.

Unreal Tournament 3 Black
Unreal Tournament 3 marks the return of the world's premiere first-person shooter. Unreal Tournament 3 unleashes the full power of Unreal Engine 3, taking graphics, gameplay, and challenge to a whole new level. Players engage in intense battles with other human players online, or against Unreal artificial intelligence that sets the industry standard. With the most powerful futuristic weapons and vehicles available, this is FPS action at its best!

Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition
Unreal Tournament is the original King of the Hill in the frag-or-be-fragged multiplayer gaming world. As the undisputed 1999 Game of the Year, Unreal Tournament grabbed the first person shooter genre by the soiled seat of its pants and knocked it around the room with its never-before-seen graphics, brutal edge-of-your-seat gameplay and a massive and varied feature list that gave gamers more than they ever expected. Novice Mode - This Botmatch competition is where new flak fodder hit boot camp.

Enjoy.

I loved playing these games when I was a teenager, but it was only with bots (back in the day of dial up).
Is there still an online community for these games in Australia?
I don't want to buy them only to discover I can only play with bots…

    • +1

I haven't played it, but there is a new version running on unreal engine 4 that is in open pre-alpha which will eventually be released as F2P details here

    • UT 3 had a decent number of East coast servers when I played a few months ago.

      • Bit the bullet and bought it from the below link
Here's to reliving the nostalgia, the last game from the series I played was UT2004

      • lol. you cant play competitive fps with people in america. the ping will be above 100

        • -1

I believe you will find he probably meant the East Coast of Australia, i.e - Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane.

Australia does also have an east and a west coast ;)

        • back in the day of dial up's
100 ping was considered good =p

        • +1

Yep. Back when us pioneers (oldies) started playing the real skill was shooting where the player was (likely) going to be… Kids these days.

We used to play competitively with pings of 220.

      Thank you!!

a few of us randomly (ie 2-3 times a year) still run a hosted Lan at someones house - UT3 is s till a go-to game!.

Funny enough I dont have the STEAM versions, only old school discs - ewwwwww!!! - time to update!!

  • +6

Worth it just for UT2004! God knows how many hours I've spent in that. Beautiful game.

    • -6

Yeah, I'd rather play something more modern!

      • +1

Yeah, that's fair. To each their own. I think I'm going to see if I can find the old server mods I used to play with!

  • +3

Just because something's old don't disregard it! Gameplay more important than pixels and texture mapping.
UT2004 is one of the best shooters of all time.
Fun to play against computer bots when you have 15 minutes to kill.

Online servers for UT2004 now tend to be highly customised and eccentric, but that's ok.

    • -3

That was a long time ago. Why don't you play Quake Live for free? The gameplay is the same.

      • Definitely not the same. You die a lot quicker in Quake than in UT. Makes it much more of a twitch shooter than something like UT.

  • +12

    Headshot!

    Double kill!

    Multi kill!

    Mmmmmmmonster kill!!

    • +1

haha.. I remembered that after reading it.. lolz!

  • +5

Loved UT2004 but who can forget UT Classic with Facing Worlds..

    • +2

Ahhh A snipers paradise, and the remote nuke to take them out.

    • UT99 was wayyyy ahead of its time, brilliant game!

    • I used to play vs bots coz 56k was shit back in Fiji in those days, but I hung out at these UT99 forums that eventually got shut down, I think they were the official ones but can't remember. I don't know if anyone on here would remember them… I think there was a popular poster on there called se7en who died or something. Everyone hated UT2k3 but were ok with 2k4.

After that I went to the ActionTrip forums… bunch of fun crazies. Then they got closed too.

      Sorry, I'm rambling.

    M-M-M-M-MONSTER DEAL!!!

  • +4

    This deal is just unreal

  • Hammer jumping into the turret on Overlord … glory days.

  • These games were classics. Loved those days when I played for hours with friends. They haven't made one of these in so long.

My favorite taunt was "You fight like a GIRL!" when it comes from a female PC.

  • Have these been updated in any way? Do they run ok on Win 10?

    • Installed Unreal Gold and running OK on Windows 10 last night.

Main issue was core resolution (I think I set it to 1360 x 768) and mouse sensitivity: I reduced this from 5 to 2.

  • Only the original game was good and only in multi player and only in face and Niven. :-)

    Good old days.

  • I stopped gaming after that
Nothing had its pure enjoyment simplistic factor and advanced mastery. The shock rifle either the combos. Oh man jake awsome to pull of a clutch monster kill in Niven while your team mate was nearly home with the flag. So so cool.

The spin off tactical ops also ruled.

    • More of A mods then a spin. It was suppose to compete with counter strike but failed IMO. Game was to slow for any UTer or quake 3 player.

      • I think it was highly successful and much more fun. Definitely a much smaller following but also better

        • And ps yes it was more "tactical" lol

  • Thanks, OP.
    Love my Unreal!

    • You are welcome. I am glad to have made some people happy with this post. :-)

  • +1

Thanks for posting, these have been on my Steam wishlist for ages.

  • +1

Thanks OP! This brings back teenage memory. I still have 2004 version disc somewhere but haven't tried for ages. But, it'd be interesting to play this on 4K TV now.

  • +2

kek. i have all of these in their original boxes from their first release dates. might still buy this as a digital copy

  • Nothing better than the tac ops mod.

  • awesome! another bunch of awesome games for my steam library i won't ever play :)

  • not working anymore? $52AUD??

  • Looks like deal is over unless I did something wrong?

    • +2

Yeah looks like it was a one day deal in the UK - its just gone past midnight. The timer was on about 14 hours when I checked yesterday..

Unless there is some way to make gamersgate work with USA time…

      • Was also a one day deal elsewhere in Europe but of course that is over too.

  • +1

NOOOOO I missed it - it had 18 hours yesterday…bummer!
