  • hmm.. no Active Noise Cancelling though. Still prob worth it and much better than the crap I bought recently (Backbeat Go 3).

Is there an OZb consensus yet on best / best value BT earphones? Are these i't or do we love xiaomi better

    • I'm enjoying my meizu ep-51s but looking for a second set. I too would like to know how these compare with the ep-51s and xaomi's.

    • I am waiting for the verdict too before I pull the trigger.

In stock on march 11 now.

    • it is now:
In stock on March 14, 2017.

Photo taken from an angle looks like an ovary.

    • gee too early for this kind of thinking

  • UHQA is compatible with select Samsung Galaxy devices

Bit of a deal-breaker here for me as I don't have a Samsung device :/

  • I've been using the KZ-HDSE which are pretty decent. For an IE they've got a good seal which blocks outside noise but they're a bit too bassy and the sound pressure does give me an ear ache sometimes. Occasionally there are frustrating Bluetooth dropouts if there's signal interference. But overall they're pretty good value at around $15.

  • Amazon said these will be in stock March 11 when I just ordered my pair. Also came up as $65 with $9 postage, despite saying basic postage is $7?

  • 2x wider frequency range than standard CD-quality wireless sound

But are human ears capable of listening to this "wider" frequency range sounds?

    • True, but that's not the point.
One component of recording analog signal is low pass filtering (at sampling rate) which itself interferes with the signal being sampled, most profoundly around the frequency of the filter. By filtering at much higher (inaudible) frequency, less of that interference affects audible signal.
At playback, similarly, effect of low pass filtering at much higher (inaudible) frequency allows retrieval of a more pure signal at audible frequencies.
So, it's really all about recording and playback of a more pure signal than you being able to hear all of it.
Since most people can't hear higher audible frequencies anyway, perhaps due to age or damage, where interference occurs, the point is probably moot, but there IS a technical basis for it.

  • Anybody know what the battery life is like?
My x2 runs out so quickly because I use it for calls often. (usually 1 day.)
I think I need something to alternate with.

    • I use mine when I go running, never run them flat but happily will do several hours without going flat.

  • these are awesome. I paid over $100 for mine about 6 months ago and that was a great price so this is brilliant.

best bluetooth headphones i've ever had. Not sure its worth getting without a Android phone though… you really need the android app to make full use of them!

  • APT-X?

    • From what I can tell, no. It's not listed on the Samsung web site or on Amazon.

  • Hmm… shipping is now $20.88, making it about $80ish… is the original from Samsung?
It defaults to the 20.88 shipping when you pick the one that's available 14th March too…

    • I could not replicate the deal, either. I was trying on the 6th and it only had refurbished ones that couldn't be shipped to Australia. Now as you say the shipping makes it a killer.

      • I just clicked on it again now (17:25AEST) and the shipping is now $7.77USD making is $49.73USD or $68.44AUD… this is fairer and I think I will get it at that price.

        • Got it too, I am happy with that price. Thanks for the update!
