  • Presumably only for new accounts/services?

    • Hi, that is correct. I have updated the description - it is for new services only, so existing customers can get this if they are adding a new service.

I wont miss you vaya, just ported to kogan and loving it

    • Looking at who i should port away from vaya for.

Wondering about coverage Kogan vs Telechoice

      • Just note that if you do go with Kogan to turn roaming on in phone settings as Vodafone and Optus have an agreement to share each other's network if out of their service range.

I only found that out after coming back from a trip where I used to have coverage with Vaya/Optus but didn't with Vodafone at the time.

        • So Kogan would be vaya coverage + vodaphone? Definitely sounds like a win.

  • I wouldn't switch to vaya for all the tea in China.

Vaya is without a doubt the worst phone company that I have been with. They'll overcharge you and your "bargain" will become quite expensive!

    • I reckon all postpaid plans do the same, surprising you with unexpected charge. For this reason I prefer to prepaid plans. I weight 1gb postpaid plan as 600mb prepaid plan.

Ported out a week ago. Still waiting for them to refund the 20 dollar security deposit…

    • Hi there, please PM me your details and I will look into this for you.

Ported out a few years ago, still waiting for mine!

  • Optus, Kogan, Aldi are offering longer terms (12 months and more) for their deals.
1 month or 3 months is rather short, have you considered extending the benefits to a minimum of 12 months to attract more customers?

  • Wait, so you save $9? Am i missing something here?

    • Hi, that's correct. It is $3/month for the first 3 months.

      • How is this a bargain? What a joke. This 'deal' does not belong here. Take your spam elsewhere.

Got to agree vaya are terrible. Been overcharged for the last 3 months. Called up every month to get it resolved. Taken at least 45mins per call Just waiting for the cock up with this month's bill to come around. Signed up to the 12 month deal 😑

Hi ski100, sorry to hear about that. Please PM me and I will look into this for you.

Thanks but I've had plenty of people at vaya look into it before and promise it won't happen again. I've gave up with your company.

    • My Recommendation is to hit up their Facebook page. It's a 2-3 day turnaround on your issue but at least you don't need to wait on hold for it.

      • Don't think it would work in my case. They always try to say the fees are correct at first. It's only when I mention seeking advice from Consumer Protection, that anything gets done.

  • Been with Vaya for years (I have 3 services) and yes customer support has been below average at times, but in general when things are working there isn't much to complain about. Recently I have found customer service getting better (I had no problems getting 3 x $20 deposits back), but honestly customer support from any carrier these days isn't great, and this is a low cost carrier so I can deal with the occasional long wait. My main gripe is long term customers really don't get any benefits for loyalty (although this is common to any carrier really). I'd love to prepay my 3 services annually and get a huge discount (like the recent 12 month Summer Plans) but the way things are going I can see me taking this up with annual offerings from Kogan or ALDImobile. I have also considered Optus or Voda simply for the data pooling options but at the moment my 3 services only cost about $60 combined so not many comparative options available.

  • I've been with Vaya for a few months now with no complaints, but I've been hit with international sms charges for texting people in Australia but there with a overseas provider, can't expect to much from such a cheap service.

Anyone know of any cheap prepaid or plans that include international sms, it's a must now that I'm Airbnb hosting and half the guest are from abroad.

These guys are the worst to deal with. Would never deal with them again, no matter how good the deal.

Never going back to Vaya at any price

Hi opp, this isn't really a deal when you compare it to the current Kogan 12 months up front deals or the Optus 12 month contract.
Take a look at those and maybe review your offer as at the moment it's a neg from me sorry.
