Revised Internode HOME and SOHO ADSL plans

100

Before I post this, this is a good deal for us people who only have access to Telstra DSLAMs, so before you go raving TPG or iiNet have better deals, bear that in mind.

Received this email:

Dear Internode customer,

We're writing to notify you that we have just released a new set of HOME and SOHO ADSL broadband plans.

If you have an existing HOME or SOHO ADSL plan with Internode, you are welcome to remain on your existing plan.

You are also welcome to move to a new plan, should you wish to do so.

You can read about the new plans generally here:

http://blog.internode.on.net/2010/08/10/internode-plan-chang…

You can read more specific details about each new plan here:

Regards,

The Internode Team

Wow that is awesome… come home and my quota has just doubled at the same price point. Amazing. And to think that about 6 months ago my quota was 1/4 of the new plan.

The plans based on Telstra DSLAMs are still nowhere near a price point to match the data limits provided by Telstra's new retail price announcements (even taking into account that Telstra counts uploads and downloads). Simon H from Internode asked his customers and prospective customers to wait for Internode's response to the Telstra plans - I really hope that this isn't it, because I am dependent on Telstra wholesale and I find the FAST plans to be very disappointing.

Those plans Telstra released require a 24 month contract. That alone kills the deal in my opinion.

      • you can also get 12m contract from telstra

Gotta sign up for 24 months now for a free churn!
    Used to me 6 months.
    24 months is soooo Bigopnd.

Aside, Internode do offer a quality service, including free but metered newsgroup access.

  • Exetel are releasing Telstra plans soon

  • The prices on telstra DSLAMS went UP for new customers, not down.
And a few plans are no longer available at all.

I wont neg this, but it is NOT a bargain. Only those on Agile (Internode) own hardware got a good gain, and even then mainly those on the 240GB plans.

    • by telstra DSLAMS I mean the ones Internode sell TW ports for, ie internode FAST plans, and "Easy Broadband" which is no longer available to those on TW ports. aaarg so confusing.
