  • I would hardly call these "excellent". Lots of issues with them, least of all the Jawbone business issues. I'd seriously avoid them at any price.

I had the Jawbone 24, Jawbone 2 and kept having issues.

I went through 3 Jawbone 24's until the company chose to send me a Jawbone 2 to cover it. Which after two of them still had issues I gave them up. They gave me a full refund of the original cost and I went for a Fitbit.

    Though that didn't last either.

Require stock of 10 to post

    • I happened to check out Officeworks of Kew East (Melbourne Inner East) still has UP3, but not UP2.

I've also had awful experience with Jawbone quality.

It seems they just count on people not being bothered returning faulty products.

    • I am now with my fourth Jawbone (unbelievable !). And this one is not working properly ! Time to switch for a Fitbit Q

  • I have the up3. Bought it after losing my Fitbit charge hr for something like $50 from amazon.

Compared to the Fitbit it's not as good but the app is alright. No issues with quality but the heart rate sensor just takes readings at random times, sometimes hours apart sometimes several times per hour. It has never taken a heart rate reading while I have been working out.

The app is probably better than the Fitbit, if you use it consistently it does learn from your habits and give some more interesting insights.

If you want something closer to a proper fitness/activity tracker, you must look at Garmin HR onwards. My wife and daughter have them and they are very robust reliable etc. I did much research before buying them and IMO (12 months or so ago), these was the sweet spot for something decent to give you good enough information, if you are a more serious fitness enthusiast then the higher Garmin, Suunto etc. models, as in closer to the $500.00 mark. These companies specialise in this market and know what they are doing.
Fitbit=Flavour of the month IMO (here come the negs).
