  • i dont know how this has 1600 lumens when the spec on the LED is Maximum Light Output 1150 lm
    http://www.cree.com/LED-Components-and-Modules/Products/XLam…

    • Not an expert, but from the description:

Up to 1600 lumens from a single emitter in a small tube light (with the right battery, and a spring bypass mod). Closer to 1400 lumens with no mods and lower-amp batteries.

Yep, Chinese sites always inflate the specs hence the term, Chinese lumens.

      Review
Different emitters have different potential lumen outputs.

    • This might be achievable by using high amperage battery and minor modification (such as spring bypass).
I did spring bypass to mine, and when using samsung 30Q battery it is actually brighter than stock light.
The only downside is, the body will feel warm in a very short time.

I bought one of these from the previous sale. Great torch; highly recommend.

    • Came here to post the same thing. It's a good torch.

    • How hot does it get on the highest setting?

      • On turbo mode, the front of the torch becomes hot, but will step down after 45 seconds.

    • Agree, I got it from the previous deal (around the same price) and made very wise decision.

I'd prefer the more powerful CFMEU torch

    Light tints explained

BLF stands for budget light forum.

  • No AAA adaptor included?

  • These belt cases ($2.66AUD) are cheap but quite good, they fit perfectly and are Astrolux branded.

I use this charger and these batteries and have found this to be a reliable setup. They are unprotected cells but the torch won't over drain the battery and has battery level check feature. If unsure about unprotected cells, get protected.

  • Bought one last deal and using the 18650 battery from dead laptop's battery pack ==> very bright torch + long last battery

  • Be careful buying anything from Banggood. They are now selling fake 18650 batteries and fake Cree torches. Used to be very good to deal with but lately they have gone downhill. Buyer beware

    • As far as I know Cree don't make torches, I've just checked on their website. They make the LED components.

    • I might be wrong, but isn't BLF A6 exclusive to Banggood?
