    • True, ShoppingExpress seems to be one of the buyers where things either go well or all to hell, no middle path.

That said, my past purchases from them have been without issue. And given the cost difference this deal has its probably worth a shot in case someone is looking for a jump into what is Sony's highest rated sensors. I am also tempted but I cannot justify a 3k purchase for a hobby.

      • This deal is from Shopping Square - totally unrelated to the well received Shopping Express.

        • Ah Sorry, that was a typo by me, it should be ShoppingSquare and SS.

  • wow really good price

  • one of the rare full frame camera within mid-range price at this moment, Sony only using this sensor for themselves the last 2 years, not sure when they will sell this full frame sensor out to other manufacturers. anyway, stay away from SS even if it is 30% off

  • Shopping square = no thanks. Not risking 3k with these loosers

        Yep

        • name checks out

          validated

  • Great price, but doesn't give you confidence after the issues people have had.

  • Meh, paid $2800 last year (local stock).

    • lucky man! I was holding out for a deal like that but it must have slipped past.

    • I only paid $3500 the day it was released 20 months ago. Seems to be holding it's value well.

  • go for Panasonic Gh5

    • Sure. But they serve different folks. MFT vs FF and all.
Not that I am dissing the GH5, but this is a deal on the A7RII for those interested in FF.

Given that the GH5 is still in pre-order and would retail for about 2.9k for an MFT, it might not be to everyones liking.

  • Before you buy this camera, be sure you aware of how much the FE Zeiss variant lenses cost. Luckily I paid $2800 for 3 lenses which would have cost $4600 at RRP.
