  • The email I got also said you get 250 bonus velocity points when you fuel up / shop at BP.

  • Mine is 200 Bonus Velocity points when fill up fuel at BP (no minimum spent required)

$50 voucher & 450 points, but for a booking made by end of July? Has to be flight(s) and accomodation and a $30 booking fee! Why bother?

It seems to indicate that the $30 booking fee is only if you use the call centre.

i have 4 people velocities accounts linked to my email. They all got the $50 voucher offer, 1 got no points bonus 1 got 200 points and 1 got 450 points. I got nothing. I am an active member, they never use their cards. Go figure. Not rewarding loyalty at all.

    • Exactly what I found as well.

  • Pity BP around here is almost always the most expensive.

    • Opposite for me BP and woolies always cheapest, followed by united, 7-11 and APCO, for me SHell coles express is consistently the most expensive always 3-7 cpl more. And its been like this for the last 15 months

  • I've thrown away my Velocity card, how do I make use of this offer without the card? Ask them to re-send the card?

    Mine's 350 pts

    • In store they have temporary cards. Swipe the card and then go home and link it to your existing account. The points will credit as if you had your normal velocity card with you in store.

  • Possible stack For those who signed up to the Amex deal ($10 back on $40+ spend)

  • I only fly Virgin, I only use BP, I've transferred a large portion of flybuys points over to Velocity and for all my loyalty I never received this. The deal with the comp Velocity Gold upgrade for 3 months…nope, not that either.

I used to believe that you pick one airline, stick to it and you'll be rewarded. It seems that common practice now with reward programs (airline, supermarket etc) is to reward the one off or very occasional users as the regulars will book anyway.

Im very close to becoming an occasional Virgin and BP user.

  • I just received this few hours ago with a slight difference in terms: There's a minimum spend of $600 for me!
