X3 Bluetooth Speaker/Handsfree (BT/FM/Tflash/Line in/USB Input) - US $5.99 / AU $7.90 Delivered @ DD4

Previous post was marked as expired.

Cheap (to the point of being throwaway) this speaker / handsfree device boasts a plethora of inputs, a 600mAh BL-5C lithium battery (claimed playback of 3hrs) capable of "smart charging" and is very compact…apparently only 10.8 x 5.5 x 3.5cm.

Reviews in previous posts for this inexpensive speaker have been very positive.

according to Blueharvest you can use it with the battery removed and a charging cable in

the charging cable is also the antenna for the radio!

  • Be warned it's gonna take a long time to be shipped. I ordered mine 16th of March and it hasn't come yet. The tracking number doesn't seem to work either…

normally stuff shipped from china takes 20-40days and the tracking number they give (if it works) only works when its in china.

    • I ordered mine on 5 March, shipped 10 March. Most regular China Post items seem to usually come by surface mail, so take quite a while. I'm not going to start worrying until the end of April. Any sooner, I'll take as a bonus.

    • I ordered on 2 March (I think that's the day the last deal was posted) and it was shipped on either the 7th or the 9th. (I got two emails about it…)

I got it week before last, I think the 23rd.

    • Mine took 2 weeks

      It came today!

  • Was fairly impressed by the sound for size, battery doesn't last long 80-90mins full blast

    • Mine last more than 3 hours with full recharge.

Might depend on what you play - constant sound such as classical music uses more than talking which has a lot of silence.

      That's a theory.

  • I tried to use it with a charger only and battery removed but didn't work. Not sure what voltage charger works with this or maybe the unit is defective.

    • It says 5V - 0.5A in the manual. I used a charger 5V -0.7A and it works for charging, will try remove the battery later.

      • Yeah I have a 5v 1A charger which works fine with the battery. let me know if it worked for you without the battery, thnx

        • I can confirm the comment from liantoh below is true, I removed battery and tried couple chargers from different brands and only one works. Sony and Samsung cause the constant restart of the speaker. Only Huawei charger works fine.

        • @goevencheaper: thanks, will try all the chargers i have :P

  • I ordered but the website says there was an error with payment, however when I check PayPal it has been paid.
No order confirmation from DD4 either but did get a PayPal email receipt.

Is this legit or a dodge ?

This is an amazing unit for the price.

Besides being a Bluetooth speaker its ability to play music straight off a usb and micro SD card makes it very useful.

Sound quality isn't going to knock your socks off but it'll certainly be better than what your phone or iPad is capable of.

My only quibble is that turning the volume up and down is a little fiddly.

I got mine from DD4 after about two weeks so delivery wasn't as bad as other Chinese sites like gearbest.

Got 1 of these. Works alright for the price but everytime you turn it on it announces which mode you're in quite loudly. E.g. "Bluetooth Mode", "FM Mode". I find this a bit annoying. Can't complain for the price though, decent sound.

    • Yeah, it's very loud. Personally it's too loud.

When using it without battery, use a better quality cable. Mine can't turn on if using the cable shipped with the player. Works fine with Tronsmart cable.

I used to have one of this before, in my opinion for about $12 you can buy a Logitech portable speaker with a better battery and sound quality.

    • I've never seen it that low before, only ~$20 or so.

      • +1

Sorry I was meant to say for about $12 extra, mistyped. It is $19 on the good guys website, so $7.9 +$12

You won't get radio, MicroSD slot and USB port on this Logitech.

  • Man, that mini USB is a bummer.

  • Oh the charging cable is the antenna?? So that's why I can't pick up anything… thanks OP

also not sure if this free one is still up for grabs https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/4564793/redir

  • The speaker that I purchased from one of the previous deals is defective. It cannot maintain a bluetooth signal no matter what device I use and the fm radio couldn't find a station even with a decent cable attached and being positioned in numerous locations. So be warned YMMV but for me it was a waste of time and money. After a few emails the supplier offered to compensate me with $3USD which I accepted.
