    on your site [also the link attached to this post] it shows the same model 40" tv [to my knowledge they're the same one that you're advertising here] for $200 less?
    how is the second tv free if you're paying $200 extra for it?

      I think the simple answer is - it isn't free. Bit of an error by Beechang I think.

      An error that could be rectified by changing the price to $1400 though.

    So you're effectively paying $300 for the 22" TV — not free at all.

    Perhaps I didn't make things clear…
    Yes the price of the TVs had been dropping for a while as we have many of this particular model in stock.
    And we are trying to push these stocks out to make more room for new stocks.
    However, the price of this TV is already very low compared any of your local market.
    So we've raised the TV price back to what we were initially offering, even before OzBargain, but have added the new 22" LCD TV for free.

    The price of this LA40B750 is still much lower than any where else you'll purchase this TV for. This deal is offering another brand new TV for free along with free shipping for both the TVs.

    If you find a better deal please let me know. For those who are only complaining about the deals please come up with some legit reasons why you think this is not a great deal when you will not find a better price of these TVs any where else in Australia!

    If you do find a better price let me know and I will adjust the prices accordingly or try my best to offer a better deal, but as it stands I know this is one of the best deals you will get for this model of TV.

    Also, the current website I have put up is a temporary website while our main website is getting developed. It is a temporary website for a reason, and that's why it's very difficult for us to correct, hence, it's not updated with this deal.

      Sounds like a bait and switch to me. Why are you still advertising those prices on your website if they're no longer offered? If you were happy to sell the LA40B750 for $1,300 just a few weeks ago, why aren't you happy to sell it at that price now?

    We didn't get as much of the product out as we expected, so to see if we can move the stocks faster we were simply trying another method of sales.
    Why aren't we happy to sell for $1300? We are still happy to sell it at this price but will you buy them?
    If you're not going to buy it please don't make silly comments as to why we aren't happy to sell at this price.
    If you are happy to buy one, then the reason is because it's another method we were trying simply to make sales. No scam, no spam, nothing negative for the customers! Ask all those who have already bought from us! They are all a happy customers and have all loved the services we've provided for them!

    We are throwing in another TV on top of the 40" as an incentive to sell, hence, the price going back to what it was being sold at. Which obviously wasn't thought through thoroughly.

    I have mentioned that I would like to take this ad down, however, I do not have that power so it's still up.
    Also, if you can find a better price right now, and not a day or week later for:

    LA22B450
    Then post it to make all your points worthy of complaints. Otherwise, I think the bargainers are also trying very hard to give some one a bad name without fully understanding what they are saying.

    My apologies for putting this ad up without taking the time to consider the bargainer's expectations, but if you could think through a bit and understand that you are getting another TV as an incentive. Perhaps if I've dropped the price a little further it may make it a bargain to meet the bargainer's expectations?

      You got caught out trying to pull a swifty on people with long memories & a site to back it up, then you come up with double backflip stories to cover up your own incompetence; and now you wanna blame the folks here for catching you out! Poor form indeed!!!

      The tragedy is that your prices aren't that bad, they'd have been perfectly acceptable if you told the truth straight up; however, your attitude is what will kill your business!

      So, in other words, since you're still happy to sell the LA40B750 for $1,300 it's not really accurate to say that you're throwing in the the 22" for "free" if you pay $1,600. The less potentially misleading way to promote this would be to say something like "Buy the LA40B750 for $1,300, and get a LA22B450 for just $300 more!".

      No, we just don't like companies saying something is "free" when it's clearly not. The 22" is NOT free; you can choose to pay $300 extra for one when you buy the LA40B750 for $1,300.

      I'm sorry, but I wasn't being silly at all. You didn't make yourself clear earlier when you said "so we’ve raised the TV price back to what we were initially offering" and "viewers can’t seem to realise that they will not be able to purchase the 40” and 22” LCD TVs at the price they were offered" — it seemed to me from those statements that you were no longer willing to sell at the previously advertised prices.

      Well agree to those comment before me. If you are saying that you could not move the TV at 1300 as you would expect to, for me it just that your price is higher and thus no bargain.

      You are selling the TV for 1400 at the moment and also 1600 with that "Free TV" let see if the ACCC see this stuff.

      Not just us Bargainers have negative views on Your company from this moment on but if this get to ACCC with false advertising, you can then argue your case

      Also, this is what ACCC chief Graeme Samuel says about advertising something as "free":

      "Where businesses offer a product as ‘free’ with the purchase of another product at a specified price, they should ensure that the other product has by itself been offered at that specified price for a reasonable period immediately prior to the ‘free’ promotion.”

      Yes, the 'B' in the model name indicates it's a 2009 model.

    I'm not sure how I am going to make this clear to this particular site that I have tried to take this deal down but I cannot do this as I do not seem to have the power to take down an ad.
    Also, I am not accusing any one of anything, all I am saying is that you cannot always make deals that will appeal to buyers. And if this deal doesn't work you have to try something else to make the sales.
    Once again, if this has caused because I didn't explain why we were doing this ad, then now you know as I have explained it clearly above.
    And Just because the TV doesn't sell at a price doesn't necessarily make that price a bad price, or not a bargain. It may also mean it's not a popular model to be sold. But one would have to make the sale none the less, hence, we've tried making other deals to make the sale.
    But since the TV had been sold at a lower price, without the 22: TV, and if it seem we are trying to pull something please do understand that is not what we are trying to do.
    And some one has mentioned that I have shown incompetence, I agree in that I have made a wrong judgement in advertising without clearifying why the difference.
    But I can tell you now I have not tried to falsify anything or try to pull something, as this is a good source of sales channel and I respect this site and will not try anything as such.
    Once again the price of the 40" TV at $1300 is a great price and if more stocks move I am happy to sell at this price, however, because the stocks aren't moving I am doing what I can to make the sale, and my thought of 22" as an incentive wasn't put forward as what I was thinking.
    And some one else mentioned that I should have worded it as get 22" for $300 extra. And I do agree with this one, but that wasn't what I was thinking either.
    I was really thinking of the 22" as an incentive to move the 40" TV, however, you much understand we've bought the 22" TV as well and for me to sell the 40" at this low price and also put on the 22" on top, I might as well sell the 40" at below $1000.

    So I do apologies for any misunderstanding, or any claims, or any other points being made. Please do understand this deal was purely another sales ad to move a stock that wasn't moving…

    I am also asking for this ad to be brought down but it seems to be taking time for this to happen.

    Also, rather than constantly giving negative feeds, which I see I clearly deserve at this point, perhaps you could help me by stating what would have been a great deal, from a reasonable point of view, knowing that I have purchased both the 40" and 22" to begin with.

    Once again my apologies for the misleading advert, or ad that is not clear, or that doesn't seem like a bargin. This will not happen again from me, and I will try harder for a better deal from next time.

    The price is expensive anyway for 2 discontinued 2009 models.

    2nd EDIT: To be honest, for a couple of discontinued models, you should have given the 22" on top of the old $1300 price. 200Hz has really lost its selling point - no one looks for it anymore. Then you have to consider that the LA40C650 (current 2010 100Hz model) has RRP $1499, LA22C450 (2010 model) has RRP $549 (the C450 also adds a USB port for movies over the old B450 - small but quite useful), and traditionally Samsung have one of the bigger margins in electronics of the bigger brands (so more room to move in a retail store for haggling). Also bear in mind that Samsung every now and then chuck in a bonus 22" TV as well. That's why $1600 is too much
