Extra virgin Spanish olive oil 4L @ Coles $20.00

I picked up a can today.

Moro brand, which is a good one, first cold pressed.

Olive oil = no cholesterol and Spain makes the worlds best olive oil so ..

Just make sure you only get the stuff in the dark green can.

Enjoy!

    • Oyle aint oil Bonanza..!!! LOL :-)

  • Only in VIC, ACT stores confirmed they will not match price:((

  • what's wrong with Australia made olive oil, why supermarkets are so obsess in cutting imported olive oil's price?

I don't think you'll ever have to buy 4L olive oil at full price - EVER. they might as well make it standard price

  • i think NSW is $25

  • Extra Virgin is great for salads etc but which one is best for frying/cooking, is it the pure one?

    • both pure and extra light.

    • Don't bother with olive oil for frying, try peanut oil instead

      • Peanut oil is not healthy. Canola oil is healthier and has a high smoking point.

  • yep pretty good price…

FYI - Extra Virgin Olive Oil loses its nutritional benefits over a short period of time. ie. the fresher the better.

    • Stored properly away from sunlight, in a cool area, olive oil will last around 2 years before the antioxidants are, well, oxidised. Still, you're right, the fresher the better. I actually prefer the taste of the older oil, though. It's not as bitter.

Spain does not make the best Olive Oil, Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the best.

Maybe so, but try buying 4L of Australian olive oil for $20.

  • Dupe (and old stale oil too)

    • I had salad with some of the oil I got yesterday and it was fine. Certainly not stale.

hmm, two negative ratings against my listing, tough audience.

      • hmm, because it's been included already in the coles post.

    • Agree. Imported oil is stale oil. The fresher the better (Australian made).

  • I once heard countries sell their best in their countries and export some of the lower quality products.
    I support LOCAL anyway.
The best deal I remember was $20 for 3L Cobram Extra Virgin Olive Oil(value pack).
Bought myself Viva Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil $15.96 for 2L recently at Woolies.
    They are all Australian Made.
