  If you really want this type of technology I would suggest you look into TrackR, Tile, Wuvo or NutTag. They are a bit more expensive but you get a lot more technology. Tile would be my recommendation because of its crowdsourced tracking, size, water resistance, battery life (1 year) and it works with Android.
