I find this is often the problem with many outdoor products, especially the cheaper stuff from China.
I've had similar LED solar lights (not this one) fail with the plastic becoming brittle and discoloured.
They don't tolerate the Australian sun and fail quickly…..
I actually have 5 of these but bought from Aliexpress - much cheaper at $7.+ ea (will be cheaper at sales time). Its installed on the fence line since almost 8 months now. Worked well and lasts till morning. They are also pretty bright at full brightness and dim at standby. They have work well for me so far.
revivor, Can you tell me , do they stay on all night once triggered, or can you program the length of time that they stay on? I can't find any info about this.
It's only at dimly lit on standby. When motion is sensed (even if wind blows on the grass will activate it) it will be at full brightness for a period of I think 10-15sec. It stays on full brightness until the motion sensor doesn't detect any movement. it's good for the fence line or near any side doors etc.
