Great deal. Cheapest price on staticice is $198 for player only.

  • Looks good to me… not long ago Bluray players were $390 for the player alone! .. well thats what i payed :(

  • +1

    great deal!

With the latest update these will do streaming via DNLA very good deal

  • +1

this looks like a damn good deal too me…
fingers crossed this is still going when I get home cause I'm still at work at them moment…
    big positive vote from me…

    • +7

      soniq? LOL!

  • Wow, great deal!

EDIT: Except UP and Alice In Wonderland are apparently pre-orders?
    Must be out of stock

  • Officially those editions are out tomorrow but they are already instock. The system still calls them a pre-order because of the release date :)

  • HDMI cable is included automatically?
On check out page i see only blu-ray player & 4 disks?
    Thanks.

  • Yep it's included in the bundle automatically as well :)

  • Great value!!!

  • … waiting for my package :D
Website order experience is smooth. One thing i notice is sanity don't charge credit card immediately.

    • What's your point? Cancel credit card after ordering? LOLL

      • The first time i see a website does not charge credit card immediately.
I'm sure there's no authorize on the card.
What happen if wrong credit card number or card does not have enough fund?
How much support will be required to contact customer to sort out payment while online order is supposed to reduce work for vendor.

  • Be vewy vewy careful……

I've ordered twice previously from Sanity….both times the order was taken, given invoice, etc….both times the order was cancelled.
I will hold back from giving this a positive based on my experiences.

Having said that….I've placed an order….(third time lucky perhaps?)

    • so your oder is placed then cancelled and you get your money back! .. i see no issue's there its there loss they lost a sale.. you walk away with your money in a way!

      • +1

It all depends on how long the whole process takes from order placement to refund..

      • When I ordered from sanity they cancelled one of the items, but still charged me the higher shipping rate.
Additionally they did not email me, write to me, or include a note in the order regarding the missing item. Given that the full shipping amount had been charged, I assumed that the other item was on the way. It never came.
When I contacted them about it they refused to refund the difference.

        • Ditto experience. At Sanity, there is no sanity.

      • I've lost my time…..and…what's the point in advertising something if they are unable to fulfil orders? Not good business practice.
First time it happened took 3 weeks for them to let me know they were out of stock
Most online retailers are able to monitor real-time stock levels, with an automatic 'sold out' when stock has gone

      • +1

The rep doesn't seem to address these issues, but happily addresses any sales questions.

        • +2

We have had issues in the past due to unexpected high demand but we now have a real time stock level mechanic in place so that when we have sold out of our allocation of stock there will be a SOLD OUT message in place of the Add To Basket option. You will notice that some of the titles already have this message on their product pages.

          • @dougmj: sounds good……although, until it's in my sweaty little hands, I will reserve judgement…..

          • +1

@dougmj: your stock level mechanic must be pooped out holding up all those sold out signs in real time. please give him rest and dont breach IR laws.

            good deal btw :)

  • what hdmi cable version is it? 1.3 or 1.4?

    • +1

very little difference, they only difference in a 1.4 cable(compared to a high speed 1.3 cable) is Ethernet over HDMI support, no devices I know of have this feature yet.

A high speed 1.3 cable should work fine for 3D video and Audio return channel.

  • It's 1.3

  • Now to convince my significant other to agree to get one!

    • Welcome to my world

      • +1

some might say it's easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission….. :)

      • Beaker whipped…

  • I almost bought one, but then realised i already have a ps3 so no need atm lol

  • This is a good deal…. Good to add a new bluray player into your lounge/bedrooms etc.
And afaik, the deal is just new so they should have plenty of stock of each bluray so get in quick before it runs out

  • If you try to add any of the blu rays to your basket you are getting an error message:

    Directory Listing Denied
This Virtual Directory does not allow contents to be listed.

  • Sympathise with Michegianni- Somewhat related, re:sanity, I sent an email (twice) asking why I couldn't use a $30.00 (+/-) giftcard given to me for my b'day, a couple of months ago… no response whatsoever!. Sanity and their staff seem to not want to address issues, just make sales!

    • +4

ozf1 - if you are still wanting to use the giftcard can you send the details of the issue to [email protected] and I'll get it looked into first thing tomorrow morning?

      • +1

good on ya rep! this is the other thing I love about the power of ozbargain, so many people get there ancillary problems resolved here. reps can choose to ignore but that is usually at their own peril so instead they help out in an expeditious manner - well at least thats what it looks like from here, and for that I commend you. It shouldnt have to come to this in the first place, but resolution however reached is good :)

in other news, good selection, order placed, so dont cancel harhar

  • great deal, first time ordering from sanity, hope i get it!

congrats on making the bundle blurays so diverse, even has high demand preorders available! thanks

  • Is it a Monster cable?

  • I ordered the bundle earlier, I couldnt resist, My first experience buying with Sanity online, if all goes well I may purchase future Blu-Rays from there for convenience. great deal BTW!!

    • I'd be looking more towards somewhere like Amazon.co.uk. Sanity might be convenient (if all goes well and it arrives), but I suspect they might not be the cheapest.

  • +2

Ordered one. No issues.Good selection of movies IMO.

  • -1

Very interested, but when will the Credit Card be charged or the offer expire.. (Dont get paid till thurs)

    • Credit cards won't be charged until it ships, which is generally within 24 hours. The deal should still be running by Thursday, however stock of the Blu-Ray titles is limited so the ones you are interested in may not be still available.

  • Here's the list of Blu-Ray discs you can choose from:
    http://www.sanity.com.au/specials/409/Ultimate_Blu-Ray_Bundl…

There's some decent ones there and only a couple are showing up as sold out.

  • Tried to order this but when I selected PayPal then continue it just went back to Start page. Anyone else get this?

    • Yeah I had this so I just retried and it eventually worked.

  • -1

very tempted by this deal, some nice movies too, hard to choose 4.

  • what model blue ray is it? can it play divx?

    • model is mentioned in the very first line of the deal!

  • I ordered this yesterday and now my status says it is shipped, so far Sanity haven't let me down. Great deal!

  • I dont know what i have done, i thought i ordered it but i go into my account section on sanity and last order and everything is blank. So i put it in again and still blank? is anyone having this problem.

  • nice ordered on Monday just got it today plays all my 1080p videos fine that i have for my ps3

    • you mean by dlna? what formats are supported? how is mkv and avi?

      • +2

nah using in my usb, it doesn't support the mkv container but i use the program mvktovob which doesn't re-encode the file just changes the container… avi works fine… so for 1080p videos on usb it plays them fine

i did try streaming afew videos using dlna the non hd stuff work fine… but when i played a 720p video it squash it from the top and bottom so the poeple in the image look fatter… i only tried the on 720p for now

the same video stream to my ps3 works fine

        • in the manual, it says playable types of files: "mkv, m2ts, mts"

i got mine today, but it wouldn't recognise my ntfs external HDD. did you use flash or hdd drive? what was the format?

and with streaming, did you use wmp? when i click "play to" on the wmp, it says no media player found…

          thanks

          • @kimmik: me too….hooked up my wd 2.5 drive (ntfs) and it says device not supported.
Tried another seagate,(fat32) and that was ok….only when it got to any folders, it could only find avi files…not dvd files.

    • My shipping postcode is 2000 but i haven't received yet :(

      • kctt,
I'm sure you'll get it either tomorrow or first thing Friday ! :D

  • +1

I ordered Monday evening and it was delivered lunchtime today, all set up and works great. Great service from Sanity, didn't mess about, I will definitely keep using there site to purchase future Blu-Rays if that's how fast items are shipped. My first Blu-Ray player and I love it…..

    • I agree motiv8dan that it was a good deal, got mine delivered in a McDonalds box, which I applaud as great recycling of cardboard which otherwise would have gone to waste, nicely cushioned with packaging peanuts.

BUT… Almost always it will be cheaper and just as quick to order your Blu-rays from amazon.co.uk They are completely compatible with Australian Blu-ray players, are sometimes released before Australia and are significantly cheaper.

Thanks Sanity for the deal, but my money goes to amazon.co.uk for DVDs and Blu-rays. Delivery within five business days normally and you take off the UK VAT (GST) making them ridiculously cheap.

      For instance;
      Toy Story
      Toy Story 2
      Alice in Wonderland
      Up

All Blu-ray from amazon.co.uk would cost $84 landed here. I paid more than that just for Alice and Up through Sanity (still, great deal).

      • Lol yeah my one in a maccas box too, it said macafe blueberry muffins on the box….. open it up no muffins :(

        • thats sad, you missed out on some good old muffin munching! better luck next time.

  • Got everything, except when I set it up, there was no sound. Finally unplugged the hdmi cable, and replugged it, it worked!

  • Anyone like me found a bonus children sunglass in the box too?

    • Fish did you order any kids titles or Alvin and the chipmunks?
      That might be why..

A free pencilcase or some sort of bag was given with Valentines day afaik

      • pretty sure its a make-up bag

      • No , I DID NOT order Alvin and the chipmunks, but that Alvin and the chipmunks sunglass was suddenly found among those bubble peanut.

        • Did you buy any kids titles? LOL
          Maybe accident

  • Received the package at lunch time yesterday. It's all good.

  • did they add more titles?
wouldve pickd fight club if i saw it :(

  • +1

Just received mine! Did anyone else get 3kg of crack cocaine and 2 Latin hookers in the box?

  • Has anyone from Perth received it? I ordered mine on the night of the 30th and it hasn't arrived as of yet.

  • Does anyone know when this deal finishes?
