NES Mini $99 Shipped from @ CatchOfTheDay (Club Catch Required)

670

Still have stock since 2:00PM, got over 300 left. I know it's RRP, but this could be the last batch as Nintendo confirmed NES mini production has been ceased.

(Sold Out) Controller's here: https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/event/nintendo-mini-system-…

Apparently you need to add 3 controllers into the card to avoid shipping. COTD however also stated if the order is over $50, free shipping applies to ClubCatch members.

edit at 2:30: Less than 60 left now

  • +4

Finally I managed to check out for one of these after months.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, finally got one.

  • +2

    Down to 80 units remaining..

Managed to grab one when it was up at 250.

  • Controllers sold out

    • +3

Signed up to club catch just for another controller, to find they are sold out!

      • =(

        • +1

Well I wasn't looking at the prompts correctly and didn't realize my trial ended… so I ended up being charged for a full year of club catch… guess will need to make full use of it now!

        • @Shads: Sigh, I also got caught with that earlier in the year.

  • +2

    Both sold out now!

  • Sorry, Nintendo Classic Mini Entertainment System + 30 NES Pre-Installed Games is sold out.

  • That was quick… haha

  • +2

    FML.

  • if my payment went thru.. does it mean i got one?

    • +3

I see your comment but all I read was centrelink payment

  • +3

Dammit. Signed up for account and was sold out at the end. So annoying!

  • So can i cancel my club membership NOW?

    • +3

I'm waiting until I get my NES.

    • +2

Probably should wait until you get it

  • thanks op. placed order and payment went through. let's see if they ship (or not)!

  • Anyone think these will go up in value if you hold on to it for a while?

    • -1

$500 in a year. BOOM. Collectors item, Nintendo aren't making any more.

      • -3

        Lucky i grabbed 2 more

        • +1

I really hate you and your ilk. youre worse than ticket scalpers.

        • @whydothismister:

I didn't grab it from here and not for resale more for personal use

    • check ebay…

better currency than lego porsche or gold :p

      • Yeah I have seen eBay - $250 or $300. I wonder if they will be worth even more in a years time.

        • +2

Maybe… but the mini-snes is on the way. I think it might devalue the mini-nes. No way of knowing though.

        • Risky… they could be worth a lot more or a lot less depending on how the SNES Mini turns out. There's a chance the SNES Mini wont be as hackable and in that case people will be willing to pay even more to get one of these… however on the flipside the SNES Mini might be even better, even more powerful and allow even more hacks in which case these will plummet in value. It's a gamble.

        • Yeah I have seen eBay - $250 or $300

Without an extra controller, the last ten eBay sales give an average of $233 including postage.

        • @Stix: out of curiosity how much do original NES's go for then; either NES, Famicon, or even a "close" Famiclone?

  • +1

    Here we go again

  • +3

Wow. Can't believe I got one. I thought these were impossible to get!

Bad luck to everyone who missed out.

  • That was quick

  • -7

    normal price

    • +8

But not normal stock (ie can you find a place with stock for $99)

      • -1

true, but this is OzBargain, not OzStock

        • +5

True too! But seriously if you find a place that has stock and sells for $99, you would make a lot of people happy!

        • +10

          @tuzii:
          Good luck with that son

    • +2

      JV is that you?

    • +2

This is a case where the RRP is less than its actual market value.

A less extreme case of the Penny Black being worth more than a penny.

  • 30mins too late, congrats to the lucky bastards who got one :)

  • +1

Dam forgot to get the controller :(

  • I got one from EB games a while back, and I gave it to a friend cause I said, I can wait. LMAO.. Oh well
Ill preorder a MINI SNES next time..

  • I bet even if there was 10,000 available they will sell out in a few hours.

  • How much us cotd membership, and they sold out now?

    • +1

      Club Catch is just $69/year.

      Yes, sold out now.

      • Makes me feel better not that you need another $69 to join membership.

  • +1

jeez are people still successfully flogging these off online for inflated prices?

If you can't afford to buy a ponzi scheme house, buy a ponzi scheme Classic NES instead :P

  • uh ah, not after yesterday's Pi deal…

  • +6

    "This is not a deal"

    Sells out in ten minutes

  • I thin I may got last one? After checked out and sold out screen shows. :)

    Good luck guys next time!

  • +2

ffff I don't check oz bargain for a couple of hours and this happens to me…

  • +2

Nintendo are doing a really bad job at handling stock and distribution of these. Then you go on ebay and find so many scalpers / re-sellers.

    • They have came out and said that it was always intended to be a limited edition thing.

      • They said it from the very beginning, limited edition.

  • +1

when did they start selling? And was there any adverts saying when they would be on sale? I want to learn how I missed this.

  • not sure how an item in stock and having to pay close to $400 to avoid shipping is considered a bargain.

hilarious how people are still frothing for this crap.

    RETROPI it ffs.

    • +1

Anagram for retropi it is I report it.

    • +2

Signed up for trial and got free shipping.

So was $120~ for console and a second controller and free shipping.

Considering that there is no retail stock anywhere and the buy-it-now price on ebay is $250-$350 - this is a bargain.

    • +2

I'm not interested in the Nintendo nostalgia so where can I get a reasonably priced Retropi with everything installed?

    • -5

      retropie is crap

  • -2

Cheers lads, How much do scalpers get for one of these?

    • +1

      Between $250-$320.

  • +2

I wonder if someone is selling Raspberry Pi pre setup in a Nintendo Classic shell with a Nintendo Classic looking controller? Could be a good money earner with all this buzz going around.

    https://www.amazon.com/EEEKit-Nintendo-Controller-Computer-R…

    • Awesome case for Pi NES

  • +3

Got one from last sale, was over it a day later

    • FOMO got the better of me too, good idea and software, but too few games and controllers needed to be wireless.

Should have developed the virtual console as an elite subscription retro gaming service on Switch.

      • Hack your NES Mini and buy some NYKO Miniboss Wireless Controllers! Easy.

  • +1

Got 3. Going to see how far I can hit them with my baseball bat and let my dog fetch them.

  • I scored one, pretty happy I did. I'll import a Famicom Mini when I can.

  • lol finally TROLLDAMON gets a ban, about time

  • Ahhh damn! Can't believe i missed it!

  • And it arrived!
