The most current generation of Kindle Touch down from RRP $109 to $89. Officeworks Link

Big W Online has this for $89 too, but need to pay delivery fee. Deal in Big W ends this Sunday. Not sure about Officeworks.

Personally I prefer this version than Paperwhite.

C5OZ on eBay brings it to AU $84.55

    • Bloody better. It's $59.99 USD = $80 AUD. Not too terrible all things considered.

      • 60USD, + american Tax, so 89 woulda still been cheaper.

No backlight on this model for lowlight reading. Good price but nkt sure you can go past the Paperwhite as the real entry into kindle.

    • Phone or tablet are great in low light. You only need an e-reader for outdoors.

At 600x800 pixels, I'd prefer my phone when light allows.

      • The battery life for an ereader makes it so much better for travel.

      • Phone or tablet are great in low light

yes, shining a torch into your eyes in low light is a brilliant plan.

  • This is the low res 167ppi version, they 300ppi version is better

This Kindle Touch is 167ppi ?

  • Does anyone use these things anymore?

      Just about everyday.
I found myself clicking on internet stuff if I read on the iPad or phone, so I made a point to read more books both real and kindle. At the end of the week I am happier having finished a book rather than an extra couple of hours reading some memes etc.

      • I need to get into this habit.
The iPad always ends up at 8 Ball Pool.

    • Yup, everyday on the train to and from work, an hour each way, and at home as well, when there is nothing on TV, which is most of the time. Books are awesome to read on a Kindle.

I have the whitepaper one though, which I highly recommend.
