Good first post. These look interesting, though personally I cannot justify purchasing.

So are these sound cancelling, or noise cancelling?
The former is a bit counter-productive.. but I'm happy with the latter.

  • Id rather listen to audio than sound;)

Amazon will not ship to my address in AU
    Not sure about others?

    • Initially it said they didn't ship to Oz but when I checked a second time it was fine. I've ordered a pair. I don't have high expectations and will reserve my plus or minus until I get them and try them. Cashrewards gives 6% for Amazon too.

  • If problem with no go send to Oz try

  • Just ordered one. Great discount with the code. Already have a Bose but wanted a cheap head phone to be able to throw around. Will have to see if the reviews are correct

  • Thanks op got one for AUD 67.96

    • Just confirming that's the price I paid as well (67.96)… all depends on the exchange rate.

      • Same $67.96

  • It is just me or does this look very much like the Bluedio T3?

    • +1

The key difference I could see was that Bluedio T3 is "on-ear" whereas the Cowin E-7 is "over-ear"… which is a key difference. My gut feeling is I trust the Bluedio brand more than Cowin, but I don't see an over ear option by Bluedio. Will let you know the verdict on the Cowin's when they arrive.

      • yah Bluedio is still a cheaper brand ( if compared to Sony etc ) but I have heard of them occasionally - whereas with Cowin this just came out of nowhere. Hopefully shipping doesn't take forever - keen on hearing what you have to say about it!

    Crap
I paid full price for these just a couple weeks ago.
With the way the AU$ is heading this discount would have been helpful.

    • well Teddy how are they?

How would you compare them to a premium product you own or owned in the past?

      • Don't have them yet

  • How would these be for train and plane rides? I can't afford the Bose QC35

  • can someone please rate these?

I have Audio-Technica m60x for like 12 years but i need some bluetooth ones now.

  • Attractive price! Will look into these.

  • F**K it i bought them too..

60AUD couldn't resist. (with cash rewards) And all the amazon feedback is good.

  • Great, thanks!

  • Nice deal. Very tempting….

  • Consider getting a matching carry case for an extra US$14:

  • Does anybody know if Amazon shipping uses a courier or regular post? Asking cause I want this delivered to a parcel locker close to work and I think Auspost only accepts it if the delivery in Australia is by them?

  • Bought one of these and the headset case. Just wanted to say thanks for the heads up for the code ($30.80 saving) and to say after umming and aahing about whether to buy in USD or AUD on the credit card I went with the credit card in USD and the bank conversion has turned out to be approx $3 cheaper than the Amazon AUD rate.

  • Just got mine today. Wow it shipped fast, ordered on the 15th and it came today.

    • How are they? Care to rate them? I'm still considering buying

      • I like them a lot.
But my opinion isn't worth much as these are my first real headphones. In the past I've only used cheap inner ear headphones and a logitech gaming headset(G230) and these sound and feel better.

    • Definitely fast shipping ordered mine on the 17th and it arrived 22nd.

These have an annoying "feature" of not having BT security. I'm in maccas with the ANC turned on, not connected to my phone, and some random has connected to me and is blasting me with hip hop music…….. -__-

    • Thanks for the warning. I didn't consider that.

    • Gee that's pretty annoying! Is there a way to retrofit or prevent this happening? Don't the devices have to be paired (ie you have to press some buttons on the headphones to confirm?)

      • Most do, not the E7 it would seem….

        • That's not ideal… can you have NC on but bluetooth off?

        • @snapper: nope, flicking the switch to ANC automatically puts BT on.

I tried quickly flicking the switch and getting my phone to connect first, but for some reason the headset seemed to always connect to the other random's phone first.

        • @highon2str: Ok, thanks for the response. What if you have the audio cable plugged in, can you still use ANC? Will BT automatically be turned on then as well?

        • @snapper: not sure, I don't have one to test with, sorry. :( Perhaps someone else can help?

        • @highon2str: That's ok, thanks for your help. If anyone else can comment, it would be appreciated. I'm thinking for situations like planes, etc

  • Just bought a pair and also the travelling case for them. Have spent hours reading reviews on NC cans and I.E.M.'s and while these don't rate very highly in sound reproduction, they do get a reasonable rating for their NC ability.
The main reason I was drawn to these is that many people who wear glasses and do a lot of plane travel have rated these as very good, comfortable and the NC is adequate.

Bose Qc25+Qc35(BT) are the top dogs in NC and consistently rate as number 1 on nearly all respectable review sites but as you all know they are also 300 bucks dearer than these cans so thanks to the OP I've got a pair of NC cans which have a good reputation for under $100.

I'll report back on my findings re: the NC side of these. If it's sound quality you want then look elsewhere and also look at wired as BT doesn't cut it when up against wired cans.

  • These work great on the train, used them today and they drown out a lot of the background noise. Strange though the missus can't wear them for more than a few seconds without feeling sick.
