See description - try at 7pm.

        Ohh thanks haha

      • +3

        Nope not working

  • +7

I acted dumb once in store and said I thought was already a member. After they didn't find me on their system, they signed me up and waived the $10 fee.

    • +2

The other day you forgot your socks

  • I am still waiting for my bag which I ordered from them about a month ago.

    • +3

      Might help contacting them

  • +1

Kathmandu are screwed when Amazon come to AU.

    • +1

      Not just Kathmandu 😉

    • +1

is it just a constant rumour or are they truly coming over?

      • +1

Amazon are launching in Australia in September. It's not a rumour.

        • +2

          Cool. Thanks.

        • Do we have any more info on this launch?

I really hope it's nothing like the Newegg "launch". There's like 1/3 of the selection of the US version, ridiculous shipping fees from overseas warehouse, or ridiculous markups on local warehouse, and some items randomly don't show GST until you reach checkout page (isn't this illegal?). In the end it's still much cheaper to buy local and on eBay sales.

        • Like overseas, it will be 20-30% cheaper than current rrp. That is also what we are all hoping for.

  • +1

You should see the staff at Officeworks in panic mode then
lying on the floor running in circles mumbling ' Amazon is coming , Amazon is coming'
It's probably why Costco has stopped expansion and the only business prepared to risk capital expanding into this space is Alibarba and his 40 robot stockpickers

  • Just a friendly reminder to everyone, kathmandu doesnt allow you to "change your mind with any reason " and they only can give you giftcard. I personally wont buy anything from them anymore for that reason.

    • I have returned sleeping bag and a jacket in the past, was given a refund to my card.

      • Did you have a good time in them?

    • +1

The website states that it's up to their discretion. I imagine it depends on who you deal with tbh.

    • Really? I have returned things with them just fine… must reread

    • Hey on the website it does say you can return for change of mind. See this: http://www.kathmandu.com.au/help-centre/returns-and-exchange…
Yes its a bit different to the returns policy but I've not had a problem before.

Worth having this if its free but don't ever buy anything for less than 50% off at Kathmandu. The 'real RRP' of Kathmandu is 50% off and the only real sale is when they have 60% off (which is really the equivalent of 10% off)

    • +4

60% off would be 20% off the 'real RRP'

  • Anyone else received a "we haven't seen you in a while" free $20 voucher from Kathmandu? It came exactly one year to the day from my last order.

    • Terms and conditions state you receive a $20 gift card for every $500 spent when using Summit Membership.

      • +1

No this is different, as I haven't reached the $500 spend.

  • I logged in and bought a couple of things anyway. Will sign up tonight if I can remember to.

  • Was going to sign up but it's free for students anyway

Promo code "CLICKMAYHEM" is not valid.

  • +2

Yea - past 7pm, still not working

  • +2

They sure got our clicks alright, this is a non-deal and not working.

  • +1

Why is it still not valid o.O, even though I found it too at click frenzy website

  • +6

"Free Summit Club Membership & Access to 30% Off Kathmandu Branded Gear. Use Code:
*Free signup only available with purchase. Sale pricing applicable in same transaction."

    • aha that answers everything, my friend got It for free though at chadstone melbourne through a form from their shop

  • +5

It only works if you buy another item at the same time - the club discount will apply to this purchase as well

    • +1

Yep title of this deal needs to be updated to reflect this

    • Urgh that's annoying. There was no mention of that on the Pricepal page.

  • +2

Cheapest item 4.50. Got some RFID tags for 4.50 (it goes 4.50 with Summit Club and Code at checkout). I'm heading overseas anyway so i can use the tags. Did store pickup option.

  • No deal, not correct title, so it deserves a negative. Edit: ok the title has changed. Still not a good deal IMO.

    • +1

Sorry, posted based on the available information at the time. Those who voted positive earlier can feel free to revoke their votes here.

  • +3

Kathmandu stuff only good value when they 70-80%-90% off
the rest of time it's a ripped off, 30% off is above normal price for similar gear, 50% off is still a ripped off
    their RRP = BSP :-)

  • I originally bought a membership like 10 years ago. Decided not to renew, and they've renewed it for me.

Just saying it's not as valuable as you might think

    • Membership is valid for a lifetime from date of purchase.

Do they only renew it if you get reincarnated? :p

      • Oh it used to be every year

  • Terms and conditions Summit Membership:

For every $500 that you spend in our Australian and New Zealand stores as well as online at kathmandu.co.nz or kathmandu.com.au (excluding gift card and e-gift card purchases) you will receive a $20 Kathmandu reward voucher.

  • Who would silly enough to pay $10 for Kathmandu Menbership ? lol
