I have work to do!! :(

Probably worth mentioning why there's a pencil included. I thought you were batshit crazy at first.

I prefer for OP not to say and let Darwin's Law take care of the rest.

  • +1 for the Faber Castell Pencil !

Interesting that you chose the pencil over other cheaper options…. :P

    • It was just the cheapest extra I could find when I last did this deal, I updated for the cotton buds thanks.

  • can I still claim cash rewards after applying the code?

    • Yeah, Cashrewards is paid on the original cost before the coupon ($100.05).

  • I would really like to set up no hassle storage for my PC.
e.g. Some kind of dual HDD raid system that duplicates all my personal files.

Can somebody please suggest anything? Am I better off with 2 x external HDD + software or is there something relatively cheap out of the box that I could use (500GB min each drive would be sufficient).

ps: My PC already has 2 x HDD however 1 is SSD and the other is 7200RPM - both are different capacity too).

Thanks if anybody can offer assistance :)

Come for the cotton buds, stay for the hard drive.

great way to get a cheap 2.5" 2tb hard drive - not hard to crack open the case. AFAIK it will work in the PS3 and PS4. i recently bought one and cracked it open to put into an ITX system.

important to note the seagate model here still has an ordinary SATA connection on the drive (and a little board to convert from SATA to USB 3.0) - unlike the toshiba which has the USB port soldered onto the hard drive controller itself.

Word of warning as well though, I've heard of unlucky buyers who got newer made models and apparently like the Toshiba their Seagates' usb port soldered into their drives.

Know this because of some comments when I bought mine a year ago, was lucky enough that I was still able to pull out the SATA connection.

  • I am looking for the 4tb one but can't find it.

  • Just a small word of warning for people connecting a Seagate portable to a TV.

I had a Seagate 2TB portable making a strange chirping noise when I turned off my Samsung TV. Apparently it was making a last ditch effort to park the head and could damage the platter if I kept using it with the TV.

I contacted Seagate on their Facebook page to see if there was anything I could do to fix it, but got a response saying sorry "our drives are not supported on TVs." I thought I had a bad drive, but it looks like they take more power to run than other portables I have used. For example 2TB Western Digital and Toshiba portables work fine on the same TV.

The Seagate worked great when used on PCs, but if you are connecting to a TV be aware of any strange noise coming from the drive, your TV may not be able to fully power the drive.

  • Looks like it's sold out :(

Changed to The Good Guys for the same price, just not delivered.

      • Thanks for the tip - got the Toshiba Canvio 2TB instead!
I just need cheapish temporary storage :)

  • For external portable (2.5") harddisk, I prefer toshiba

  • They've changed the price to $99 so the code won't work anymore if you C&C…
