Is mobileciti Aussie stock and not grey?

    • +2

Yes Australian stock. Rep and employee are on OzBargain also.

If I buy this on ebay tonight, can I pick up by Saturday?
I am flying out Sunday for O/S trip so could use TRS :)

Maybe call them and ask? I'm not affiliated with them.

That's probably the only way you can get a response before the sale ends…

Same code worked for a regular S7 from Mobileciti ebay too. (I don't like the curved screen but wanted to upgrade).
Oh, right. It is because it is a generic ebay code. Oops.

  • Is this the cheapest AU model available for Samsung S7?

    • +2

It's the cheapest I have seen for proper AU source. I was waiting for something like this to come up so was keeping an eye on it.
Might be able to get it again latest with 'craziest' after 10pm if this is correct: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/310356

    Note they have network branding.

    • Will network branded phones still get firmware updates at the same time as non branded phones?

      • +3

Doesn't matter about network branding in Australia. They're all unlocked and if you care about updates, go to a Samsung Store so they can flash the unlocked version on your device.

        • Never heard of this, do they flash with Samsung rom or back to the network branded rom?

        • @Chopel: They can flash to XSA which is unlocked rom. I was on Optus branded, gave them my phone at the experience store and asked them to flash the unlocked carrier-free one. Waited for the installation, and voila.

        • @Aced21: Is that mean when you boot the phone it's not showing the brand logo too?

        • @Chopel: Yes. XSA is direct through Samsung (with updates), no software carrier branding.

        • @Aced21: Just wondering if they Will do it for grey stock unit?

        • @Chopel: No, they will not touch any grey stock models at all.

        • Thanks - that's very handy to know.

      • If you're not near a Samsung store it's easy to flash the stock ROM on yourself.

Hopefully none of you run into issues outside of warranty. They will not fulfill their ACL obligations.

      can you please elaborate?

      • They wouldn't help me with my Nexus 6P that started having issues 3-4 months outside of warranty. You'd expect a $1000 phone to last more than 16 months

        • don't they say that they have 2 years warranty?

  • Just wonder can I claim TRS for this?

    • yes
