    • I think that' the wrong sort of cat but I still cannot work out which variety contains the cat? Prawn or Vegetable?

    These are yummy thanks

      You are welcome.

I have tried both in last deal. Sorry I could not agree with you. Those sold in the Korean or Chinese store are far better.

      • +1

True but for mainstream woolies and Coles these are always convenient to pick up when on special plus you get heaps in 1 pack

        • I suggest you try the "Crazy Dragon" one also sold in Coles. Their dumpling has real prawn inside. :)

        • @maxdba:

Dang. So confused now. Heard people said those are rubbish in the last deal but KB ones are good.

        • @Jared17: My mistake, wrong name. Try the "Chan's Yum Cha At Home" at Coles, sometimes they also have 50% off sale. They are really good.

Yes I couldnt find the prawn inside these dumpling. Taste is so so.

  • Anyone know a good frozen pork gyoza?

    • Crazy Dragon are OK and use Aussie pork as far as I can tell. They were half price a few weeks ago.

      • Oh wait, they're not gyoza, different sort of dumpling

  • +2

Not gonna miss out this time. My local store was all out for the entire week.

Rain check. Ask for 6 or so, then get them on special every week for a month.

More importantly, this means that the salt and pepper squid will be on sale too.

  • +2

I dunno I bought these things one time they taste pretty nasty.

Spray a small amount of canola oil, put them in the Air Fryer 18 mins at 200c. Very tasty. Put them in frozen and give it a good shake at about 12 mins.

Why the name change? Is Kailis Brothers planning to sell off the brand?
And I note the shrinkage: it used to be 1kg packs.

The "half price" on these is a regular occurrence, like so many high-margin product lines these days.

To cook: fry a few minutes in a pan, then add water, cover, and steam until water absorbed.
    (Aren't oven-baked ones too dry?)

  • How many pieces is it roughly in a bag?

    • +2

The 1kg bags had about 40 so I assume these would have about 30?

They are pretty decent quality, by the way - I cook them on the pan (oil the pan, put them in for a bit, add some water and cover with a lid). And then I dip them in a mixture of soy sauce, sesame oil and chili. :)

      • Thank you. Looks like I will have to get some to try out

      • I do mine the same way with a soy sauce srircha sauce mix, delish!

Does anyone know the source of the palm oil in these? I'm guessing it's not going to be from sustainable, non-forest burning sources.

  • Just finished my last pack two days ago so this is perfect timing. Thank you.

  • MUST TRY HANABI ONES GYOZA SELLING AT COLES. AWESOME STUFF!

  • phew , ran out start of this week , was thinking I was going to have to pay full price

  • lol sunnybank hills coles is already out of stock. plenty of vegetable ones remaining

  • For any Costco members who want to stock up, Costco are selling KB's Prawn Gyoza 1.2Kg bags for $12.69. Pretty much the same unit price as these. Ends Tue 13/06/17 (tomorrow).
