The offers you listed were already in the comments section 2 hours before you posted, and released by Amex at the same time.
Not the first time you've sponged off Trent's deal to make your own post

Its unfortunate that ozb's longtime deal posters have to list everything in the title of their Deal else some glory hound will take credit

        • -1

Feel free to click the report burton or use TWAM if you feel that offended

        • +10

The offers you listed were already in the comments section 2 hours before you posted

Bad form when they don't acknowledge the original poster…

        • +5

          Because internet points.

        • +10

Be Kind. It is not a competition. We are ALL on the SAME TEAM. The more, and the clearer, that these deals are hi-lighted the better.

        • Well I can say I've been in Trent86's position before and I got blasted for mentioning the duplicates posted after mine. This is confusing!

        • +1

          @thedriver:

Because it wasn't technically a dupe since it wasn't in the title as per the rules and guidelines yet you continued to argue.

And neither is this a dupe.

But yeah even if OPs don't see it in the original thread (whether it be in the op or comments) section, it wouldn't be unkind of them to edit and voluntarily give credit where credit is due.

        • +1

          I didn't even bother clicking on the Domino's deal….

Posters should list stuff in the title because that's what people see when they decide whether or not they want to click on it. I for one, prefer it when everything is listed in the title… especially when it's only 2-3 things that easily fit into the title.

  • +16

I'm not seeing the bp or charity ones on my cards 😣

      • +2

Do you actually have 9 AMEX cards (+ however many other CC's)? Have you ever tried to renegotiate a loan? I've only got three credit cards and NAB wasn't happy with them (despite me paying them off in full every month without fail) so I had to reduce my main one's limit by $10k

        • +1

Yeah its not about your credit history, its about what they think you can afford for total debt (which includes max'ing out all loans & cards).

I suspect its EC+partner who has 9. Me & Mrs Supabrudda have 8 amex's (3 each + 2 sup cards). Most only get a workout during promos.

        • +6

          @supabrudda:

I have a whole heap of supp cards in my pets names

          πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

        • +1

@supabrudda: That's true, it was about total which is a shame. I only clicked on the voluntary credit card limit increases when they were offered to me, and then they turned around and said they were too high hehe

        • +1

          @easternculture:

          Evidence or it doesn't exists

        • +1

          @nightelves:
It has been discussed numerous times before. Some have 20 cards.
U can add a supplementary card for your mum/friend/secret lover/enemy or pet. You do need a dob, and address

        • @easternculture:

I should register the supp cards in all porn's star name… lol

        • @GundamZeta: That would be interesting if they cross checked your ID like they did at Westfield last year….

There is now a big banner on my Amex statement page telling me that there is a limit of 4 supplementary cards per account.

        • +1

          @mmd:

I'm aware of that as I have added supps to the card as well. What I want to see is EC provide evidence that he added his pets to the card.

        • -4

          @nightelves:

I also have one as Mr <my last name>

          😏😏😏

        • @easternculture:

How do you provide Tax File Numbers for pets?

        • -1

          @rob74:

          No tax file number needed

        • @easternculture:

Find it hard to believe they didnt ask for some form of ID…for your pets. They arent that stupid to just give you a card because you ask.

    • +1

      I'm not seeing it either..

    • I found the BP one, but had to login to americanexpress.com - i.e. the place with your card balance etc. It's not on Amex Connect (network.americanexpress.com).

Can't find the charity one though.

  • +4

Is there a manual registration link, I do not see these on offer

  • +3

    Targeted offers!

  • +2

Just remember you can buy BP gift cards in case you don't go through petrol like I do.

    • +3

You still have to spend with BP right? If so, top up opal is a better choice

      • +2

Unless you are not from NSW.

    • Does BP sell any non BP gift cards?

      • PlayStation gift cards

      • Yes heaps, jbh I fi and others.

    • +4

It will Opal recharge for all Sydney friends.

    • +1

I bought some last time but they only seem to have $50 ones which makes it 20% off instead or 25% off which kinda sux.

But yes will be stocking up my Amex cards and supp cards

      • Yes they only come in $25 and $50 so you can't spend just $40.

    • -1

Full terms include 'The following transactions are not eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the offer… transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher.'
Happy to for someone to test it and prove it wrong, though.

      • +4

Proven wrong last time 4 times.

    • Good for some, unfortunately not at my local BP, Amex not accepted :boo:

  • +2

    Can't see the bp offer

    • +1

Can see it in my direct amex card but not on amex connect for my westpac.

  • +3

    Amex issued cards only?

  • +3

Not seeing BP either through NAB velocity amex. Is it Amex issued cards only?

  • +4

I can only see the BP offer through AMEX issue card. None on NAB card for BP offer. Seems like it is only apply for AMEX issue card for the BP offer.

  • +4

Is there a manual enrolment link for the BP offer?

  • +1

Guess BP misses out on NAB amex customers

    • I have a NAB AMEX and have used the promo successfully in the past .. Spend $40, get $20 back

  • There is also domino's online offer. Spend 20 get 10 back. This is on my qantas amex discovery card.
    Show already posted dealπŸ˜€.

  • Danm, was at BP 30 mins ago.

    • I filled up last night :(

    • +1

No sweat, buy gift cards next time.

  • +3

    Kathamandu?

BP is a targeted Amex Amex offer, where Domino's and "Kathmandu" are generic Amex Amex and Bank Issued Amex

  • Sweet… time to annoy BP attendants with buying gift cards with split payments again… starting to run low since the last BP Amex Promo!

    • Full terms include 'The following transactions are not eligible and will not count towards your spend for the purposes of the offer… transactions where you buy a gift card, store credit or a voucher.'
If it worked for you last time, they might not enforce it this time either. I'll be interested to see if anyone has success.

      • That's why I always test one first before buying more.

  • +1

    BP is targeted

  • +1

Can the BP offer only be used once? Normally it's 3 times

    • +4

      Only once this time.

  • +1

where is the link for BP??????

  • I've seen these AMEX type deals for a while on Ozbargain, but I've never looked into it. Can anyone point me in the right direction in regards to what card I would need and through which bank (along with any other info I would need to know) to receive these types of AMEX benefits that occur pretty much on an going basis.

This has possibly been asked before (in one of the many AMEX threads), but a quick search proved to be a failure from my end.

    Thanks in advance =)

    • +2

I personally would suggest you apply for AMEX card from AMEX directly (go to www.amex.com.au). All AMEX deals will be available for AMEX issued cards.
You can also apply for AMEX card from Banks (ANZ, Westpac, CBA, NAB, etc) or even retailers such as David Jones (please check the referral link provided above) - BUT, not all AMEX deals will be available for these indirectly issued AMEX cards. For example: the BP offer "Spend $40 get $10" is only available for customers who have AMEX issued cards (I have one, and I can see the offer when I logon to my online AMEX account).

      hope it helps :)

      • Thanks the info! Exactly what I was looking for - I won't be apply to apply until around September (heading on holidays soon and got other things to look into first) BUT I'll definitely check out AMEX directly. I guess the main reason for me getting a credit card will be to take advantage of frequent flyer points - seeing as I take a holiday once a year.

I've looked into points hack to see what AMEX cards are good for this but If there are any amex cards yourself or anyone else would recommend for this benefit, feel free to share =D

    • +2

I recommend Amex Velocity Frequent Flyer. Right now you will get 100,000 velocity points for signing up which is enough for a return trip to the USA off peak.

      • I'll definitely look into that, the problem is I wouldn't apply until September when I get back from overseas - so the deal might be gone by then. It would definitely help me though, as I'm planning on heading to USA possibly in January or April next year.

I've looked into points hack to see what AMEX cards are good for taking advantage of cheap fares with frequent flyers points but if there are any amex/ other credit cards yourself or anyone else would recommend for this benefit, feel free to share =D

        • +1

Receive 100,000 bonus Velocity Points when you apply online by 31 July 2017, are approved and spend $1,500 on your new Card within the first 3 months. This offer is available to new Card Members, as well as Bank- issued American Express companion cardholders

          https://www.americanexpress.com/au/content/velocity-rewards-…

          $65,000 income

          - Annual Fee $375 p.a.

          - 20.74% p.a. interest rate on purchases

+ Annual Complimentary domestic return flight

+ 2 Virgin Australia Airport Lounge invitations each year

          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/307458

        • @Elyxar: OOO wow! Thanks heaps for the info! I'll check this out!

    • +1

Apply through a referral for bonus points.

      • Will definitely keep this in mind for when I apply in September, thanks for that info! didn't know that existed =D

        • Yes and you get more sign up points via a referral. Amex Platinum Charge, and AMEX Explorer have great sign up bonuses, but to make the most of these cards you need to use the travel credits and other free benefits to offset the annual fees. Spending patterns will determine a lot whether Amex Platinum Edge is worthwhile for you. I don't have it, and so I could be wrong, but I think that it has low sign up bonus but awards 3 points on Groceries and Petrol.

  • -1

Does BP sell any non BP gift cards?

  • Unfortunately I don't see the BP one either

  • Bugger, should've read the comments first. Went racing in for the BP offer but no go on Westpac Earth Black AMEX.

    • You are not the only one. I started logging into my bulk Amex accounts only to find nothing for BP. Having a discount on fuel would be a well welcomed relief.

  • -3

BP offer showing on all my 10 cards.

    • BP offer showing on all my 20 cards.

      • Nice! I'm waiting for 10 more cards to arrive soon so I can manually enroll them before the limit is reached.

  • Why isn't anyone talking about the amazing Dominos deal?

    • +1

      carbs

    • +2
    • -4

Probably because most of the Dominos fans on Ozbargain are poverty stricken students, and the AMEX card holders are just stingy middle class professionals who have more refined taste buds.

      • I work in finance and earn six figures, not saying this to boast, but bargain hunters come in all shapes and sizes. Saved the deal and will most likely use it because who doesn't love a bargain!

        • +2

I don't earn close tk six figures but I scrounge points like it's the last day on earth.
You'll see me try and take advantage of every promotion where suitable.
          Every cent counts.

        • That's why I said "most".
But just out of curiosity, are you really going to eat $20 worth of Dominos just because of the $10 saving?
If you're really making 6 figures, you probably make that $10 in less than 5 minutes.
5 mins for a student making $20/hour equates to $1.6.

Pretty sure not even students would care that much for a $1.6 saving on 2 pizzas.

  • +3

I got the BP offer, the only place I could see it was after signing in to the Amex site and clicking on Offers underneath my current/pending transactions. Thanks OP!

    • yep, same here.

    • Same.

    • I presume that's for a non-bank issued AMEX?

      • +1

Correct, it's an Amex issued Amex :)

    • I see HP but no BP

  • +1

    Manual links please.

    • -2

We need a ninja for that task

      • Call out the ninja then, Master!

  • I can't see BP offer on my card, looks targeted

  • +2

Can we please have the manual link to the bp offer
